Daikin Stylish Issues: HomeKitty Limited Control & Matter Bridge Not Detecting AC

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to integrate my Daikin Stylish air conditioner with Apple Home through Homey, but unfortunately I can’t get it working correctly.

My setup

  • Homey Pro (2023)
  • Official Daikin Onecta Homey app
  • Daikin Stylish indoor unit
  • Daikin Wi-Fi adapter: BRP069C4x
  • Adapter firmware: 2.6.1
  • Apple Home
  • HomeKitty (latest version)

Issue 1 – Homey Matter Bridge

When I share the Daikin AC through the Homey Matter Bridge, Apple Home doesn’t recognize it correctly. The accessory is either shown as an unsupported device or isn’t usable as an air conditioner.

Issue 2 – HomeKitty

When I expose the exact same device through HomeKitty, Apple Home correctly recognizes it as an air conditioner.

However, only part of the functionality works:

  • :white_check_mark: Current temperature is displayed correctly.
  • :white_check_mark: I can change the target temperature.
  • :cross_mark: I cannot turn the air conditioner ON or OFF.
  • :cross_mark: I cannot change the HVAC mode (Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan or Auto).
  • :cross_mark: Apple Home shows the controls, but the Daikin unit never responds to the Power or Mode commands.

The important thing is that everything works perfectly inside Homey itself using the official Daikin Onecta app. Homey can switch modes, turn the unit on/off and change the temperature without any problems.

This makes me think the issue is somewhere between the Onecta app and the HomeKit/HomeKitty integration, rather than with the Daikin integration itself.

Has anyone else experienced this with a Daikin Stylish using the official Onecta app?

Is this a known limitation of the Onecta app, or is there something that HomeKitty could support differently?

If needed, I’m happy to provide logs, test beta versions, or help troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

See this issue: the Daikin app uses non-standard capabilities, which aren’t supported by both HomeKitty and the Matter bridge.

Hi, have you tried it with my HomeKit Bridge app?

Thanks for the suggestion!

I tried your HomeKit Device Bridge as well, but unfortunately the Daikin Onecta air conditioner doesn’t appear in Apple Home at all.

So currently my results are:

• Homey Matter Bridge → Apple Home recognizes it as an unsupported device.
• HomeKitty → Apple Home recognizes it as an air conditioner, I can read and change the target temperature, but Power ON/OFF and HVAC mode (Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan, Auto) don’t work.
• HomeKit Device Bridge → the Daikin device doesn’t appear in Apple Home.

Do you think this means the official Daikin Onecta Homey app exposes non-standard or unsupported Homey capabilities?

If there is anything I can test or provide (logs, diagnostics, beta versions), I’d be happy to help.

If you send me the diagnostic log through my app, I’ll see what I can do
