Thomas,

Thank you very very much! I have been waiting for this, for several years and now FINALLY I can ditch that horrible and slow Gecko-app!

Thank you so much for your kind words Haakon :norway: ! I’m really glad to hear that the app is useful to you and that it can replace Gecko app for you. Your feedback truly means a lot and makes all the work worthwhile  .

Much appreciated that you are fixing this, Thomas.

Gecko’s app is really bad. I have installed your app with IP/MAC but can’t get it to connect. Any tips?

Hi Kjell-Arne,

Sorry to hear that you having issues with connection of the intouch2.

Could yo please double check the IP and MAC address in advanced settings, in the device settings?

Thomas, it was all my pleasure!

Now that we know that the basics are working very well, are you planning to keep on developing the support? For instance; controlling the pumps (on/off/speed)?

(An idea I got just now: Our spa bath is located inside a closed and locked pavilion. I can ad a motion/presence sensor inside the pavilion, which turns on the lights first, then the pumps after maybe 1/2 mins. And then keeping the pumps running, while occupants are present. Turning off pump no. 2 after 3 mins. with no occupants and pump no. 1 set to minimum for 10 mins. and then off. Lights go off, last).

“really bad” is the understatement of the year! :joy:

Mine connected on first try and very quickly. Surprisingly quick actually, with the slow In.touch-app in mind. Double-check your IP and MAC, is my hot tip. Also, can your VPN (if you have one) be playing tricks on you? I have experienced that with some wireless gadgets. Not with this app though.

I have a TP-Link router WR802N in client mode connected to the InTouch2 module, and this is the device that connects to my network. If I understand it correctly, it is this device’s IP and MAC address that I see on the network. This is probably why it doesn’t work. Any thoughts?

Hi again,
I’ve been trying to find a solution for turning the light on and off via intouch2, but I haven’t managed to get it working. I don’t know exactly how your light works. My spa has about 10–15 different light modes that I can cycle through. Between each press, the light turns off, and with the next press it turns on again in a different mode.

When it comes to the pump or pumps, I will look into that, but I’m unsure since my spa only has a single pump. Therefore, my attempt at an implementation may not fully guarantee that it works as intended for everyone.

You should put it in Range extender operation mode, then both the router and the device show up in your network. Client mode is only Wireless WAN as far as I know, so in this mode the router still creates its own subnet.

You can rename the extended SSID to something else to prevent your other devices from connecting to it.

Thanks Sven, I will give it a try.

“Range extender mode” is only an extension of an existing network, and I already have good Wi-Fi coverage at the jacuzzi.
”Client mode” works and I can see the InTouch2 in my network, but even though I enter the correct MAC and IP address, it does not connect.

Hello

I wonder if in.touch3 will work with this app?

Be Thomas

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don’t have any information about whether in.touch3 is compatible with the app I’ve developed.

Best,
Thomas
