In our walls we have fibaro dimmers. These dimmers are controlled with push switches.
Push switch 1 for controlling dumb dimmable lights connected to the fibaro.
Push switch 2 for controlling Homey pro which in turn controls a smart bulb.
When you press switch 1 or 2 respectively it turns on/off the dumb dimmable lights or the smart bulb.
So far, so good.
However the dumb dimmable lights via push switch 1 have a nice behaviour. When you push and hold it dims up to the max. Then when you do the same it dims down to its lowest point.
I like to do the same with the smart bulb, but I don’t see a card that looks like this:
I can, when holding set it to let’s say 10% in one go, but it wont cycle to another value when I do it again. Or even better, just slowly dim to 1% and when I repeat slowly go up to 100%.
Is it achievable in some way so I can make the behaviour of the dumb lights and smart bulbs identical so the user just gets the same experience no matter the wall push button they use?
The Dutch part is great actually…and its a very impressive flow. Looking into it, but have the feeling it might be a bit much as my house is already pushing the limits of the amount of devices and from what I’m gathering this might cost a lot of chatter. Ill give it a try! :-).
Situation is that I bought a lot of little devices for behind my push switches, but not all are the same brand. I love the Fibaro dimmers, as they have a lot of cards in Homey Pro.
For some non dimmable lights I had to use an Aqara T1. And that’s where I run into a comparable issue.
The Fibaro dimmers have a nice feature so you can choose a card and program in different options for 1x push, 2x push, 3x push, long hold, release, etc. What I did on the switch at the stairs of every floor is 2x press turns off the entire floor.
However, this last installment for the ground floor entrance uses this T1 from Aqara and only offers on / off cards
Is there a way to open up these cards and add a 2x push, etc comparable. Or am I really bound to the option on/off as provided?
