Yup, that’s how I did it as well, I fully support your request to be able to enter just a tag with the current flow name in it.
Maybe you want to check out the Simple Log app.
It can add [trigger/condition/action/error] log cards to certain/some/all flows with a script. It also puts the flow name in the cards.
