Control Apple TV with IP driver?

I went digging on the internet, because I found it weird I could control my 2011 Denon receiver with my Homey, but not my 2015 Apple TV.

That’s when I found out about “IP drivers”, which basically make it possible to integrate Apple TV control in your cinema-solution. This made me search more, and I found out this company called firecore has made a kind of API that can be used to control an apple TV.

So my question is, is there any way to fire off a URL from Homey? Basically that you say “Ok homey, Apple TV arrow down” and it fires http://<Apple-TV-or-IP-Address>/remoteAction=4?

I’m going to play with this in my browser when I get home (which will be on Sunday), but in the meantime, it could be cool if we could collectively think of any solutions with this knowledge!

You can use this app for HTTP: https://apps.athom.com/app/com.internet

When it comes to integrate Homey control of the Apple TV I think this solution is the better way to go though: https://www.npmjs.com/package/node-appletv

Very interested in this! Anyone made any progress in this?
And @johan_bendz, how would you see this integrated in homey?

I imagine something like the Google Chromecast App

@Emile i see Athom made the chromecast app, is a similair app for the Apple TV something Athom has already plans for?
