I’m using older and newer energy plugs but currently after replacing a defect one I’ve tried to enter a decimal value in the field "Compensation Socket Watt” but it was rejected. It is still set with decimal on all other energy plugs but I can’t change the value to for instance 0,3 or 0.3 watt in the new replaced one.
I think it should be 0.3, not 0,3
Hi Sven, as stated both tried and both not accepted and both give the same error.
I’ve tried every value other then 0 (zero) and all give the same error in this field.
On all other plugs the value can’t be changed bacause every change gives an error.
What smart plug is it? Model number?
What (on earth) does “Compensatie Socket Watt”? mean…
Because you most likely just want to enter their standby power use, you’d look at an other setting;
The default Homey fields to enter standby power (and actual usage) look like this:
Sounds like an offset/correction factor for if you believe the reading deviates from the actual wattage.
Oh on thát bike (steencoal Dutch). Thanks!
It’s usually called ‘Calibration’, and it most probably just doesn’t take decimals, like TS teies to enter.
This is a socket (the current small, not bulky model) from the same series/model, and in the past, it was possible to enter a value in the first field (the app shows it in Dutch, indeed). However, now I cannot even change it to any other value with or without a decimal because the error appears directly after saving the value. I used the 0.3 as a correction for the power usage of the plug itself.
What brand, which app are you using? The screenshots you show are not standard Homey settings so this interface with these particular settings is custom made by the app developer.
Also, have you tried this in another client, like the web app?
Sorry, I really thought I had mentioned somewhere that this concerns HomeWizard, so it concerns the HomeWizard App in the Homey Pro (2019) in combination with the latest and first version of the Energy Plug from HomeWizard.
Dear @Jeroen_Tebbens, is it possible as the developer of the HomeWizard App for Homey Pro to look into this?
Eeeh what is the problem?
Hi Jeroen, first of all, thank you for your response. I can say that I tried again tonight to adjust the value in the variable, and without changing anything, it now works. For now, the problem has disappeared spontaneously, just as it arose spontaneously. ![]()
Great ![]()
App had some updates and improvements lately, also in settings for sockets so I guess it got addressed already based on the error and crash logs I receive.
