BLE proximity detection

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone has built BLE proximity detection, maybe using ESP32 boards for Homey?

I would want to know if certain devices (phones/smartwatches of my family) enter or exit a certain area (room or part of a room). Or if my car is at home. I know there is proximity detection for Homey but that won’t allow me to detect if a person enters or leaves a room, just if they’re close to my Homey.

There’s the beacon app, but not sure it’s accurate enough to detect which room you are in.

Right, that relies on the BLE of Homey which is not precise enough to determine presence in a different room than the Homey is in. Thanks for your response though!
