[App][Pro] Zone Memory - Save and Restore Device Configurations

Are you using Hue with Hub or not?
That said I have had some issues with Plex pausing media. Works some of the time

Good morning

Is it possible to have the wind direction in compass type format (N S E W)?

Knowing that logically the station is directed towards the north.

Are you sure you are on the right forum board? Sounds like you are looking for some weather app. Or I don’t understand the question

Update Time

This upcoming release is primarily a usability update.

Hii @Shakesbeard,

I still have the issue that the Zone Memory app does not turn of my hue lights even though I’ve tried al the settings when restoring the state of one or multiple lamps. All other settings of the lamp do restore and also when I dive in the settings of Zone Memory the saved power state is on falls. Is there any other way that this app could handle the state of the lamps so the Hue lamps will turn off when supposed to?

Hi @mootje
It really should. You only need to configure handling of on/off to “as stored/saved” and for hue in specific you will most likely have to set a command send rate. Try to set it to a slower value.
Zone Memory is designed to explicitly send the value of the devices primary on/off state as the very last command.
The issue with the hue app is that it will turn the device on if a value like the dimlevel is sent to it. That is why I designed it to send on/off as the last value to begin with. I think you might just have a concurrency issue when the commands are processed too quickly.
If that does not help, take a single hue device and execute a restore operation on it which reproduces the issue and right afterwards create an app diag report for me. It is unlikely that there is a technical issue, but maybe I can see something in the logs.

Hi Shakesbeard,

thanks for the app. It really makes life easier. I have one issue: The Philips Air Purifier state (on/off) is not restored. The data is written into the file but then not restored.
It does not work with both - zone or device flows.

Best,
Homer

hi Homer,
Maybe there is a similar issue as with the Hue app.
Have you tried to set a lowered command rate for the restore action? By default the app sends the commands to the other app as fast as possible, but some apps might not like that.
Technically, I artificially send the on/off state always as the very last command. But without rate limitation it is not guaranteed that the command is also processed as the last command.
So if you have not tried that, yet, give it a shot and let me know if that works.

Hi Shakesbeard,

thanks for your instant reply. I tried with 2s before but that did not work, but going to 5s today worked.

Best,
H
