@ThomasRS
I have try to connect the cam’s and it is working!
I have the aqara cam’s and it is looking good. See the cam’s and when I click on them I see it bigger and live. Great, thank you!
I am going to check if I can replace some words with emoticons to reduce the size, but ideally I want to use normal words.
Hence the suggestion to use two text rows for the name. I assume that - for aesthetics - the neighboring tiles in the Device Value widget would also need to increase in size to keep a consistent look per row of values.
How would you feel about the font just being a tad smaller in the case the text is too long - then I think we can show the full text inside the current tile size.
I know, I am using that app also currently
. Just like you only for the spacer. I am trying to replace various widget apps with the Widgetkeeper app.
Sure - I’ll put that on the TODO for 1.0.0
Another suggestion
: When combining a selection of lights in a group, using the Light Controls widget, the default name of the group is the room’s name. Would it be possible to set a custom name for the group?
I think so - but what’s the use case? Why would you want to call the room something else? Just so I understand ![]()
Can’t say without knowing more. If you feel comfortable go to the app settings and copy the diagnostics report (send in a PM - don’t share it in here). Remember to include the Foscam via the dropdown on top. Then I’ll have a look.
I’m not sure I understand that clearly. Can you share the model and make of the blinds so I can have a look? ![]()
But yeah, I think that case could be supported.
GM Thomas,
First of all, thanks for the great widgets.
While testing the new version v0.9, I noticed the following:
When selecting sensors, all devices are displayed, not just those with the “sensor” class. Is this intentional, or is it still a bug?
For sensor alarms, the motions are not displayed in the widget.
AND:
Could you add the option to include labels for all tiles (curtains, light controls, etc.)?
It’s intentional. The idea was that you can show whatever values you find relevant. Is this causing some unintended issues for you?
Sure - I’ll add it to the TODO for 1.0.0
There’s an option in the widget settings to include motion alarms too. Do you have that enabled?
Ups & Sorry. You’ve made too many changes, and that was even before my first cup of coffee.
No, I’ve only read about sensor widgets, and I’ve also seen light devices displayed, for example.
That is indeed an alternative. For now I have managed to work around it by using a combination of emoticons and text.
Sorry didn’t explain very well. I use these blind motors:
They are chain driven and control my vertical slatted blinds. Ive set them so they auto tilt so they tilt in either direction but at 50% they are fully open.
At 0% they are fully closed to the left,50% they are fully open and 100% they are fully closed in the opposite direction.
I want to combine two specific lights in my livingroom and be able to switch them on/off separately from all the lights in the livingroom. If I group both these two as well as all the lights, the I get two tiles with the same name (living room) but that control a different set of lights. Based on its name you currently cannot see which controls what set.
Indeed, I have several different groups of lights in my Living Room that are controlled separately… 2 ceiling lights (named Big Light ha ha), 2 spotlight down lights in the fireplace surround, and 3 LED pole floor lamps. I’d end up with 3 groups all called Living Room, which would be far too confusing.
I also have 2 groups of lights in the kitchen, a 6 spotlight ceiling light, and cabinet lights… that I prefer to control separately.
Hi Thomas @ThomasRS
I’ve noticed when setting up a spark lines Dashboard for battery levels in various devices, that some display the battery icon with the current level, and some don’t, which seems a bit odd?
Would it be possible to add to the Variables widget a min and max number as well as the step size?
Use case being, Homey presents percentages as 0.0 to 1.0 values in variables, it doesn’t like anything outside that range. It lets me set the step size to 0.05, but not the min 0 and max 1 (and yes I can handle error cases in the Advanced Flow, but being able to set different limits would look better)
Hi Thomas,
I have to start with a big thank you. Widgetkeeper is exactly what I’ve been looking for for months. Interactive, beautiful widgets on Homey have been missing for so long, and your app finally brings them. I love it so much that I’ve already built a whole new dashboard using only your widgets. It looks amazing and I use it every day.
While using it, I had a few ideas. Please take them as suggestions from a very happy user, not as complaints:
1. Light control – Moods in the color palette
The light control widget looks fantastic. Would it be possible for the color palette you can show to display the Moods of the room instead of fixed colors? Being able to pick a room’s Homey Moods straight from the widget would be perfect.
2. Sensor dots – support for presence sensors
The “Sensor dots” widget is a brilliant idea. Right now it only seems to show dedicated motion sensors, like the Philips Hue ones. My Aqara FP300 sensors don’t show up, even though they have a “motion detected” capability in Homey. Is there any way to include them as well?
3. Dashboard shortcut widget
There’s already a widget for Flows. Could you build the same kind of widget for Dashboards? Basically quick-access buttons to jump to another dashboard. That would make moving between dashboards much easier.
4. Energy overview – 15-minute prices
The energy overview is awesome. At the moment electricity prices are shown per hour. Would it be possible to switch to 15-minute prices? I’m not sure whether the widget gets its prices from Homey Energy, so I don’t know how much work that would be.
5. Locks & doors – “open” / unlatch function
The locks and doors widget is great too. As far as I can tell, you can lock and unlock doors from it. My door lock also has a separate function to pull the latch, so it has three actions: lock, unlock and open. Homey already supports this. Could it be added to the widget as well?
Thanks again for all the work you’ve put into this app, Thomas. It has completely changed how I use my Homey dashboards, and I’m really looking forward to what comes next.
Best regards,
Alex
Firstly thank you for your (no doubt) massive efforts in creating this fantastic app. It is brilliant and I can’t wait to see what enhancements follow. It turns Homey dashboards from the functional, but rather ‘clunky’ things they were to a strong solution without implementing a third-party app, which I prefer not to do as my overall approach is for a single hub/single solution.
One minor issue/suggestion I currently have is that the curtains widget cannot see my Switchbot blind motors. They are visible in the Device values for blind tilt value. I can control them in homey but not see them in the curtains widget setup as devices.
One enhancement suggestion is to have a background colour setting for each widget on the board (and therefore probably also need a text colour). How about widget borders also?
Again many thanks. Delivered with perfect timing as I am setting up my first wall-mounted kiosk mode dashboard on a tablet
Hi Thomas @ThomasRS
I just have to say a MAHOOSIVE thank you for the web WidgetKeep functionality addition. I have a Shelly Wall Display XL installed in my living room in place of one of the light switches… I had the Homey Android app installed on it to display a Dashboard in kiosk mode… but it was sooooooooooooooooo slow and laggy I had just about given up on it. Now I have created a web Dashboard with your app, and as if a miracle, it works!!! I can actually use it now.
The only question I have now, is if you could manage this on your own in your spare time, why the heck couldn’t Athom have done native web Dashboards ![]()

Huge respect and appreciation… if Carlsberg made apps
possibly the most useful thing on Homey, no joke
