And, im gonna suggest another widget, although im not sure if its usefull (or can be made usefull) for users outside of Europe.
I was working on a app specificly for this, but while i can code pretty well, i suck at design
(Business wise i always use designers to make a mock-up for applications i build
).
So im just gonna tell you what i was working on, and if its not usefull or doesnt fit your widgets, i totally understand.
Okay, Athom has a widget/app called Buienradar (cloudradar). It shows a widget of the nederlands and where the clouds are and “gonna be” in the next while/hours.
But, you cannot pick the location/city/state or whatever, its a typical Athom widget: looks good on their website, but it could be so much better.
The website (buienradar) actually have a sort of widget generator (with some settings), and with that, you can get an url which can be used in a web widget (and sigh, you can click it to goto the website, which the kids love, but i dont!
).
Their are a lott of issues in just using the “widget” in a web widget, like, its size is pixel based. So on my phone, it has white parts around it, but on my tablets it doesnt and is even missing the bottom text (which i prefer, wo thats cool).
The url i used is:
If you goto Mijn Buienradar you can configure the “widget”/created image:
Now, the question: what i would love, is a widget, where i can enter a city name (or region or whatever) and set the default view (in my case province). But in the bottom of the widget, 4 buttons to directly change to any view (country, province, region, city). Plus, have the highest resolution image and have it always fit the widget, not matter on which device i show it.
(Oh and the widget works for whole of europe, i just checked to confirm).
Perhaps this would be a nice widget to add to your marvelous collection
