[APP][Pro] WhatsApp - Simple. Reliable. Private

Now I see it indeed. I can see that the snaps from my doorbell are coming through again, which weren’t being delivered before. So the issue seems to be resolved. Thanks!

@martijnpoppen Strange bug: Sending an Email in the content field leads to this error, any idea? (Love that app 150% Thanx!)

image

@Stefan_1 It’s not failing on the content field but failing on the number. There’s a E.164 number validator in there. So looks to me the number is not correct

Thanx @martijnpoppen so much, well the number receives every other text message. I just changed the text field to that email address. I just copy/paste the number with a E.164 number validator, the number also passes through. Then I tried another different number, same problem.

Can you experience that bug on your side?

No bug:

@Stefan_1 this is due to the changed mentions. See [APP][Pro] WhatsApp - Simple. Reliable. Private - #1009 by martijnpoppen

So everything after @ is taken into account as a number. However it shouldn’t fail the flow. Will check that

New app update (:green_square: LIVE: 1.27.9):

Changelog:

NEW:
1: None

FIXES:
1: FIX: don’t throw an error in flow when @ is part of content and not a number

Hi Martijn,

I can’t seem to figure this out. Hope you can help me.
I created an insights graph that I want to share with a whatsapp group. I’m admin of the group; the link is correct - no spaces whatsoever.

If I send a text message to the group; it’s working. But if I use the card including an image and I add that tag of the graph that is created in the flow I am not receiving the message at all. I’ve tried this also with different types of images (from my Eufy cams for instance) and with phone numbers. In all cases I’m not receiving the message.

Could you help me out?

@marquetphilippe please run your flow and send a diagnostic report so i can debug the issue

Question: Today i missed some whatsapp messages that should be automaticly send every Tuesday to me. This afternoon when i was checking the status in Homey I saw that i neede to config it again.

When checking on google what I can do or what this can be I read that after 30 days inactivity on the paired connection.
Is this something that should or is going to be updated, when Homey is sending me messages?
Or
Do i need to do something once a month to get the connection up and running?

I don’t know now if there is something changed or I have done something wrong, that is was disconnected. But I don’t receive a message when it is done, so that makes it difficult for me and I miss important messages.

I hope that someone can assist me with a solution

@smv yes WhatsApp expect you to use the app on the phone often. Only using web WhatsApp will disconnect after 30 days
In this case the homey WhatsApp is a WhatsApp web instance

So if I understand it right, i need to open sometimes on my phone Whatsapp Business, to make sure it not disconnect?

@marquetphilippe checked your report but looks like the image you’re trying to send doesn’t have a url. So WhatsApp can download it first to send it.

Really strange. Can you try a homey reboot, run the flow again and send a new report if it doesn’t work

Hi Martijn, need your help / advice. I had to move to a new iPhone and WhatsApp App on Homey said it does not work anymore so deleted the App and reinstalled and did register homey in WhatsApp again but then it hangs in the add device screen forever and does not add WhatsApp to Homey.

I sent a report : 50a01d78-aced-48e7-af09-72a5d92d54f6

Any idea ? Already deleted and reinstalled the App and restarted Homey as well.

Thanks in advance !

Hey @Capetrip
Oh! I already replied to your report

But can you try via the homey web app?
