WhatsApp displays the message “Unavailable” and there is no way I can log in again. I then get the message “Cannot pair device” when I want to registrate at Whatsapp.
@Gamespel are you trying to repair it or pair a new device? “Cannot pair device” is not a message form the Whatsapp app, sounds more like a Homey error.
Maybe provide screenshots to make it more clear?
Finely, after xx times it works with 3.0.8, but will it work with the new version?!

From version v3 there has been a lot of changes, so if it failed the first couple of times it was clearing up a lot of old data. That data was causing issues. But the cleanup is so memory consuming it might crash the app.
I know not ideal, but that’s why it went to V3 which is treated as a breaking change
Oke, Thanks for the reply… but strange that I had a version from 18 nov 2025 and it never updated. I think I installed version 1.39.2 about 1 / 1,5 month ago.
@Gamespel v3 is still in test. It’s a really big update and the SDK is not final yet, as soon as the SDK moves from beta to prod i will move this version as well. Progress is slow on the SDK side

Hello. Ive had the test version of this working for a long while. Today it stopped working and I’ve got unavailable. Ive tried to restart that does not work. Im getting “waiting for message”

edit. It now let me add a new device. Took several minutes to add but its worked.
I am abroad at the moment, its synced to where I am, would that affect it?

Seems ok now! Still showing as my recent synced location. Flows are 2 hours behind too so thats the time difference. Ill check when home in a few days and see but its working so all ok for now thanks

Nothing has changed on my side. it’s very strange. I will try to uninstall and reinstll just to check but i’m afraid nothing works after that. Today i can’t add a new whatsapp device. connection page remains blank.

You’re right. I’ve uninstalled and reinstall and everything works.
That means upgrade from old to last version has a différent behaviour than a new install.
I was not aware than a réinstall was the only choice. No matter, now it works and i feel good.
