@Daan_Dagevos try via Homey Webapp?
I guess its not possible to create a group chat invite link if your not the admin of a group?
Would it not be possible to use autocomplete to select a chat to send a message to?
- Correct
- could be possible, the app already keeps the known groups in memory. Will check this for a future update

I have change my whatsapp number and now I have to connect again but every time I see ākan apparaat niet koppelenā. Why?
@EdNL no idea
Maybe you can share a bit more info on where you see that and what you did to change the number
Sorry, youāre right, I should have provided a bit more information.
I changed my number in WhatsApp; my old number wasnāt working anymore. That all went well. Then I noticed that the Homey WhatsApp connection was no longer active within WhatsApp.
Iām in Homey, I click on the WhatsApp app, and then I have to repair it. I click on repair, and then I open WhatsApp on my mobile and click on paired devices. Then I click āpair a deviceā and then āpair with numberā.
And then I enter the code that is in the WhatsApp app, but after entering it in my WhatsApp (so not in Homey, but actually in WhatsApp), I get the message ācannot pair device - try entering the code againā¦ā.
I could go on like this, but I canāt get it to work.
I have already reinstalled WhatsApp as well, and that doesnāt work either.
I reset the WhatsApp app in Homey, but that didnāt help either.
@EdNL thereās a known issue with pairing due to outdated WhatsApp SDK
You can try the test version of the app which runs the beta SDK.
It is not working, I get the same inlog error
With the new test version ![]()
@EdNL can you share a report when that error occurs?
The problem is that it only comes in on my WhatsApp and I donāt get an error message on Homey WhatsApp. I am not getting an error code or anything.
I think Iāve found the problem. Looking at the timeline, I see itās still trying to connect to my old 06 number. Thatās strange; how do I change that? My new number is listed correctly in my WhatsApp app. Strange!
I see at the timeline:
[WhatsApp] - (my OLD number) - New pairing code is needed. Please try to repair the device.
Strange that my OLD number is there?
@EdNL are you trying to repair or pair it as a new device?
I try to connect to a new 06 number om the same device ass my old number.
Ik heb binnen whatsapp een anders nummer aangegeven. Dus ik installeer in whatsapp welke eerst het oude nummer had en nu een nieuw nummer.
@EdNL please keep this topic in English
Can you send a diagnostics report
@martijnpoppen Iām doing it using the Homey Webapp. It continues to give me a Timeout 10000ms when I try to repair my second Whatsapp Device. Also tried rebooting Homey and restarting the app, without effect.
Strangely: my other Whatsapp device continues to work (until the app crashes and it doesnāt, until the app automatically reboots itself and it does).
Canāt wait until the new SDK is out of beta⦠![]()
@Daan_Dagevos As you probably know. thereās not much i can do at the moment ![]()
Any people we can put pressure on? ![]()
Seems like they are really busy with creating https://www.usetitan.app/ . Seems like this will speed up the development of Baileys (library we use).
In the meantime iām trying a update again as the project did get some updates. Also checking if copilot can vibe code some memory/repair fixes aswell
also read that SDK version 7.0.0-rc10 is coming out next monday, so hopefully that will provide a lot of new fixes
