No, don’t touch anything of Fibaro!
The advanced virtual device just “listens” to the switch states of the smart implants, and converts it to a contact sensor.
I hope it’s clear now, else, just ask.

Hi again Mr Kawa!
Still strugling with the Fibaro Implant to behave as an input switch.
I tryed to include it to the ADV but still it will report an sensor for electric energy. I assume I do something wrong. When I look into the Homey developer tool I see a lot more parameter settings for it direct under The Fibaro app then under the ADV.
Any ideas where I do wrong?
Best regards

Could you make a screenshot of that window? I think you are misinterpreting the screen.
Did you succeed in all 13 steps of Peter Kawa?
Hi!
Enclosed you’ll find my 3 screenshots. The first is from the Fibaro app.
Here you can see the Fibaro Smart Implant 1 Zon Öst As I wont to have it Alarm input 1 equal too Input one. This I wont to have to trigger Heimdal and activate Alarm chain.
The next two screenshots are from my try to include this Fibaro Smart Implant to AVD, as you can see it will report as an Electric sensor and I wont to have to be an electric switch or button. H

The energy field you can fill in the energy the Fibaro Smart Implant itself is using. So Homey can calculate the power all your devices are using.
However you have to continue from step 6, and right click the tile and open the menu “Maintenance” not “Settings” and continue till step 13.
Thank’s a lot for the info!
I’ll try that, hopefully I mange to get what I wont.

Is there anyway to have the VD remember it’s state when Homey is restarted? Right now, all VD (toggle switch) are ON when Homey is restarted. Even though they were OFF before restart.
Please see the Advanced Virtual Device fron the Device Capabilities app.
Thanks! I will have a look at it!

Any solution?

Please explain for what you want a solution?
Hello Arie,
For the new energy dashboard, I created a solar panels, water meter and EV charger (using wall plug) virtual device. (The reason is that all three are not supported by Homey apps and I retrieve the power/flow values in a different way.)
Only the solar panels show up in the energy dashboard but not the water meter and the EV charger.
Are you planning to update this app for the new energy dashboard or do you know an alternative way to get these devices (and their capabilities) in the energy dashboard?
I havent really looked into the new energy tab stuff.
But, try Advanced Virtual Devices from the Device Capabilities app. Basicly, it allowed for fully customized (A)VDs.
Hello Arie, I created a Advanced Virtual Device for water (with meter and flow capabilities) but it still does not show up in the energy dashboard. @RonnyW gave the advise to add a ‘cumulative flag’ (see also his post in this topic) but how to do that for a advanced virtual device?
Here you go
Okay. I have a very odd issue and I don’t quite know where to start with this.
I have this happening:
However, there is a completely differed VD device which is also an on/off toggle which has an turn on card in this advanced flow.
I also noticed that VD devices seem to be detected as on by their AND cards even though they are off. I have the suspicion that there is an issue with the context separation of the devices? Does that make any sense? Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
Hi. The latest Homey firmaware update ver 12.3.0 for Homey Pro Early 2023, broke all my virtual buttons; those I have quite lot. Randomly some may work but mostly they do not start any action. Sometimes there will be seen a red banner in a mobile device with a warning triangle and text:
“Something went wrong while controlling [device name]. Missing parameter: value”. Homey and app restarted, tested with two mobile devices and a desktop app with same results.
Does any other have this type issue?
And again. I changed devices of “Virtual Devices” app
to Homey native virtual devices (Experiments section in settings). The change didn’t help; sama issue appears with them too.
