The ev charger is available in the test version if you install that.

No problem, but nice to know you’re stil contributing.
Can you put MPPT on the roadmap?
Have you, or anyone else, tried out the EV Charger device type in the test version? Since I don’t have one myself it is difficult for me to test.
There is on/off support already, assuming it is set to manual mode.
We can add possibility to switch between manual and auto mode, and adjust charge current for manual mode.
Hello, good people.
I’m totally in love with this app. I have an off grid solar setup here at my cabin in Norway. It is getting dark, and it feels so good to have full control using Homey and the Victron app.
But unfortunately, I have a small problem. Now and then it seems like the app loses contact in a way. All values turn to zero. After a while it starts working again. If I restart the app, it starts working immediately. The GX is connected to Homey using Wi-Fi and it seems to work OK.
Do you have any tip? My wife is starting to lose faith in my great setup…
I have had the same issue before.
I made a flow that reboot’s the app once a week. Works for me.
Same issue, rebooting does the job for now.
Do you have auto updates enabled on your cerbo maybe? If I update my cerbo i have to restart te homey app also.
What is the requirement for adding the Victron GX device in the app? I have a Charge controller that is connected to an RPI Venus OS. But i have no com.victronenergy.vebus device in my Venus OS.
Hey all, if homey has bluetooth inbuilt is there no way this app could support the Bluetooth devices without having to go and by a GX device
Lets see what I can improve in the update
Might improve in an upcoming version where I have to change a lot of stuff to be compatible with the new Homey Energy concept.
Nothing I plan to add to the app, but if someone is willing to add a bluetooth device type PRs are welcome.
@Richard_B Hi Richard, just wondering, is it somehow possible to make devices compatiblen witth new Energy tab? We ha all data we need: grid, consumption, PV, EV. Thanks for insight into topic.

@Daniel_S Taken from the post just above your question

Ahh oki, many thanks! Didnt catch that
New test version out
The idea is to break apart the GX device type into separate device types for Energy Meter, Battery, PV, etc.
Cool. I think I do not have the device Energy meter in my instalation. Does that mean i will not be able to get data from Cerbo? Because still there is value for grid, but i think it is calculated number.
Are you planning to add the MPPT ?
Yes, in my development version I have both solarcharger
and pvinverter
. I have added my SMA inverter so I can test the pvinverter
device, but I don’t have a solar charger.
Will start with a limited number of capabilities per device.
I have.
@Richard_B Temperature per MPPT would be nice _)
Also conversion from the old, stable, version of victron app to the new with the new devices. How will that work, what happens with rules that uses grid values if I add the new grid meter as new device - will those rules need to be re-written or is there some automatic conversion done? Or will the newer version be backward compatible?
Also I have a spare victron 75/15 unit that isnt used that I can send you if that helps your development efforts.
In the current test version, when trying to add a ‘Solcellsregulator’ it fails directly with errormessage “Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘totalyield’)”
