Here is the full support bundle you requested.

Just for context: I had disabled Tuya Local after my previous test, so the gap in the logs is intentional. I enabled the app again today specifically to create this support bundle.

After enabling it, I waited approximately 10 minutes before generating the bundle, to give the Heat Pump enough time to connect and receive data.

During those 10 minutes it kept repeating the same pattern:

Connected
Disconnected: socket closed (..., no data received)
Reconnecting

I did not change any device or protocol settings during this test.

Please send a support bundle when something doesn’t work

When a device won’t connect, shows no values, or a data point is mapped wrongly, the app can collect everything I need in one go. Without it, diagnosing takes three or four rounds of questions.

Where: App settings → Fix It tab → Create support bundle, at the top. (Also under Help → Reporting device issues.)

What’s in it: per device the driver, the protocol version configured and actually in use, the full DP mapping, the live values the device is sending right now, the connection history, the manufacturer’s DP specification if you have Cloud Lookup set up (recommended!), and the warnings from the log.

The two parts that usually settle it: the live values next to the DP mapping — what the device really sends versus what the app expects — and the connection history, which tells apart “never gets in”, “gets thrown out again”, and “connected but silent”. Three different causes, and screenshots rarely show which one you have.

Safe to post publicly. Local keys are replaced with asterisks and device IDs shortened to six characters.

One sentence on top of the bundle helps enormously: what you expected, and what happened instead. The bundle shows me the state, not which part looks wrong to you.

Hi Andi,

New update. Things are getting better.
The device protocol has now changed to 3.1 and/or 3.2. and it now collects device data.
The Heat Pump is now also available to select in the DP Debug tab.
But:

• The protocol has since rotated further and the current support bundle shows configured 3.2, connected 3.2, with 2360 packets successfully received. So 3.2 currently seems to be the best working protocol.
• It isn’t stable yet and becomes unavailable frequently.
• It doesn’t show all info on the device tab
• Switching on/off the device in Homey doens’t actually switch off/on the heat pump.
  Same for adjusting the temperature. Changing it in Homey doesn’t change it on the heat pump itself.
• One additional observation from the support bundle:
  mode_values is currently heat,cool,auto, while the actual Tuya DP105 values are smart,warm,cool.

Recently I added 3 fancoils to Homey using Ideal clima TQCT07 modules.

With some help from ChatGPT I added them to the Tuya IoT Platform and then Homey.

Works like a charm, but now I got a mail my Trial Tuya Platform IoT Core subcribtion expired.

I can’t renew for free and the proposed payed option (Flagship and Corporate) a ridiculous (25.000 or 50.000 Dollar)

I’ve been monitoring the Tuya Local heat pump device for a few days now, and it has been running reliably and stable.

I have now phased out my old and rather complex setup for the heat pump (including a virtual device and HomeyScript), and the Tuya Local device is now my primary device in Homey.

I would like to suggest a few additions to complete the heat pump functionality and provide roughly the same status information as the official Tuya app.

Currently, the Homey device information page only shows Fault Alarm and Power Level. I’ve attached screenshots of both the current Homey device and the official Tuya app for comparison.

It would be great if the Homey device could also show:

• Target temperature — DP106
• Current/water temperature — DP102
• Operating mode — DP105
• Smart/Silence status — DP117

The most important addition for me would be the ability to control DP117, so I can switch locally between Smart and Silence mode.

I have tested this and confirmed that DP117 is the boolean used for this:

• true = Smart
• false = Silence

At the moment I still need the Tuya Cloud integration for this one function. If DP117 could be controlled through Tuya Local, I should be able to remove that final cloud dependency as well.

I noticed that Tuya Local already provides a “Set heat pump preset” action with Sleep / Comfort / Boost. Perhaps the Smart/Silence function could be mapped to a preset or exposed as a separate capability/action — whichever fits the Tuya Local architecture best.

I’ve also included a screenshot of the Tuya specification showing SilentMode as a Boolean, which seems to correspond with DP117 on this heat pump.

Would these additions be possible?

Yes, that’s correct.

My first suggestion was mainly for convenience: having a kind of one-page device status overview, so there is no need to switch between the 3 different tabs to see the relevant information.

But yes, the main thing that is really missing is DP117:

- displaying its current status (Smart / Silence); and

- being able to set/change DP117 from Homey to switch between Smart and Silence.

So if DP117 can be added for both status and control, that would provide the functionality I/we really need.

What I meant was much simpler: when DP117 / Silent Mode is added as a capability, will its current status also automatically be visible somewhere on the device page, similar to Fault Alarm and Power Level?

I wasn’t asking for a custom page or layout — just whether the DP117/Silent Mode status can be exposed as part of the normal Homey device information.

If Homey decides itself where/how capabilities are displayed and you cannot influence that, then I understand.
