Update. I have tried everything again. Removed all my devices and then re-added them. Changed all passwords again. Re-installed everything in the Tuya app. The frustrating is that my issue is adressed several times in this thread but every time it ends with “oh… suddenly it works!”.
Since I deleted all my devices the problem now is not that I can’t control them, is that I can’t add them. I still get “Please Configure the app first”.
I have the exact same issue at the moment. Yesterday I noticed the flows didn’t work correctly and I did the normal checks of restarting te app and the Homey and renter the api key.
Did you solve this already and do you know “how long” it normally takes to “solve it by its own”?
I can tell you. It takes about a week for it to solve itself because mine just started to work for no reason!
I been at this issue for 3-4 hours the past week, tried almost everything. From one day to the other it suddenly worked without me doing anything. So, as I am happy it works right now, as all the other I can’t really tell you what I did to fix it. But here is what I did:
Changed between Only legacy, only official and both many many times.
Double checked the region settings (Western, central Europe…)
Deleted and reinstalled the tuya cloud app in Homey
Restarted the tuya cloud app in homey and the homey itself many times
Created a new cloud project and connected it to my tuya app account
switched between the old and the new project and API in the homey app a couple of times (I ended up with using the old one)
Extended the license 6 month and waited for it to be approved
Removed all my devices from Homey (Not from Tuya app so I did not have to pair them again)
The last thing I did the day before it worked was to make sure that my Tuya App Account was not connected to both my cloud projects (You can not remove a project)
Tnx for the quick response. If I can make a good judgment call on your time line of events, I should do absolutely nothing and wait for it to start working again…….
I don’t say I don’t believe it, but when I entered all data, it worked right away…
I can’t think of one reason how something suddenly starts to work after x days ‘by doing nothing at all’
I noticed on the tuya cloud that the IoT core is expired. Do I need to extend this? I see a monthly trial is free. but all my other devices are working properly
Would it be possible to add support for the LSC smoke-detector? I recently bought some however seems this is not supported yet. The device is visible in the IoT platform but not picked up in the homey app. The connection is fine because I also added multiple LSC power plugs.
Below some information about the device, please let me know if you need more
Hi,
if this device only reports battery state, what would you assume from this device added to Homey?
You can use raw commands in flows (see description in 1st post and follow the links). Then you can trigger an alert on your smoke detector and check if Tuya sends a status which is not documented.
Tuya cloud used to work fine but suddenly stopped.
I got no errors when configuring the app but when trying to add devices, the app kept giving the message that it was not configured yet.
finally found out that Tuya IOT core on the Tuya cloud platform was expired.
After extending my subscription all worked fine again.
Hope this helps when you are experiencing the same problems.
Seems the device is not sending anything, just tested with the smoke alarm, but no messages received on Homey. So I guess there’s no way to get the alarm data from this device directly. I did receive a report on the tuya platform log:
I now tried an alternative which did not work well quite yet. I’ve added a virtual device, tried many different ones and then switch once the smoke alarm goes on, This device I can then add into homey to have a single pane of glass for everything.
Now I run into the problem that the device state of the virtual device does not change(on/off) in Homey when changed from the Tuya app. Anyone any experience with those virtual devices, are there any that do work/sync state?
I tried adding a virtual device in Tuya. Then I created a scene in tuya to switch that virtual device to on once the alarm goes off. The smoke alarm is visible in the tuya app. This all works fine.
The virtual tuya devices is synced to homey.
However when the virtual device is switched to on in the tuya app this state is not reported to homey somehow.
