You can get there by visiting the app, open the changelog and click the “test” icon. Or just add /test at the app url.
If you are on a stable version, auto update only installs stable versions.
If you install the test version, you will get the next test versions with auto update. To get back to stable path just install the (next) stable version.
I made all changes done for thermostat for the heater, too. And there it’s working with the latest app version.
So perhaps the only chance is creating a dignostic report after changing temp in tuya app (sent to @Jurgen_Heine) and hopefully we can see a reason.
I’m also using using 1.1.12 I did every step multiple times. I’m confused now. Everything is setup correctly. I can see the curtain switch in Homey but it wont move when I adjust the slider. I dont know why but now I’m not seeing the scenes anymore. Even while choosing legacy scenes. Is this switch supposed to work with Homey?
so there are 2 problems,
-1 the tuya app does not communicate back to
homey (I don’t have any problems with that)
-2 the tuya cloud homey app does not listen to a set
temperature change due to a Flow
Btw. you don’t need to factory reset your thermostat and re-add it to Tuya.
Just delete the Homey device and re-add in Homey. That’s needed because the device data structure has changed.
How does the thermostat looks in Homey? Ist the scale ok (min/max,step)?
Then the scale factor from Tuya should be recognized correctly.
And the data object has only the ID field. That’s correct, too.
I cross-checked the app code with the heater and all looks good.
I have no idea and can’t check without a device

How is the thermostat device working in your Homey with the latest app test version?
@Rick_Delput Thanks for the diagnostic report. Jurgen found the reason for the thermostat issue. I missed to add the thermostat to a type check in the app itself.
PR is created. Jurgen will provide a new test version soon.
Same issue here. No direct control in homey of tuya devices (mainly bulbs).
using 1.1.12. Worked untill a couple of days ago. Using official tuya api. Did the unlink trick in tuya cloud multiple time. No success. It works in and via the official tuya app
Just a fyi.
Thanks for your advice. I did all that. Very sure I use the right keys. When saving the config in the Homey app I get nog error, but a confirmation of the save.
Tried it all again today. Even unlinked en linked the app account on the IoT platform. No luck.
Then I saw that my IoT development trial is expired. Is that it? I requested an renewal of 6 months. But to be sure: do we need to keep this alive all time? Its not a free service, but a trial service…
If your previously updated to 1.1.17 and re-added the thermostat to Homey, just install the new test version and check if changes on Tuya side are reported to Homey now.
For all clming from an older version, install the test version, remove the thermostat from Homey and pair again in Homey.
I hove no update, is stay in the 1.1.17
still i removed the button and added it again, but as you can see. does the button not respond to the thermostat
