[APP][Pro] Tuya Cloud - This app allows you to connect Homey to the Tuya cloud

Hello Ben,

When you use the “Execute scene [scene]” flow card, does it show a selection list of all of your scenes when you tap/click into the scene field?

Thanks for the answer,

No, it does not show any scenes

No problem.

  1. Did it ever work?
  2. Do you have any installed & functioning Tuya devices with this app?
  3. You didn’t use the “Start legacy scene” card?
  4. If you use the web app: browsers use cache by default, and Homey leans too much on it’s data;
Too see if that is the issue, open it in a private tab: this forces all data to be fetched.
  1. Did it ever work?

    • No it never worked for me
  2. Do you have any installed & functioning Tuya devices with this app?

    yes I have several

  3. You didn’t use the “Start legacy scene” card?

I tried both and no scenes are shown

  4. If you use the web app: browsers use cache by default, and Homey leans too much on it’s data;
Too see if that is the issue, open it in a private tab: this forces all data to be fetched.

    I use the iPhone app

Thanks so much for the help

I still cannot trigger scenes at tuya.

I have tried and reinstall the app, same problem. Whe i use the web interface i get promted “(flow card not registered (type:action id set scene)

Has anyone had that problem?

I actually meant if anything of this app ever worked :grimacing::wink: this is still unclear to me:
When the devices can be controlled from Homey, the scenes should pop up.
In my experience everything just works, or, nothing works at all.

.

I experience that kind of errors when Homey can’t communicate with the Tuya iot servers.
Is your free “iot cote trial period” still valid? This needs to be extended twice a year.

.
Do you use the “Cloud authorisation IP allow list”?

If true, when your internet IP address changes along the way, you should adjust it to have it reflect your current internet IP again.

Sorry for the late reply, but we were on vacation. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the solution.

After renewing the IoT Core, I still can’t log in. I no longer have any devices registered. My app is connected, but I can’t log in.

So I can’t add any devices again.

I also keep getting the message: “You are still using the old deprecated API and drivers,…” Even though I don’t have any devices registered in the app.

I just deleted the old project and started a new one on the tuya site, but still got the same message in Homey, with the new auth. ID and Access secret.

HI,

Is there any change to add an air purifiers support? In home assistant it is support when i add tuya app.

Always start by reading the 1st post please

I successfully added heater from SmartLife, but the temp current status shows as 2.4 but it is 24Celcius of room temperatur. The set temp shows correct as 22C

I have a Brennenstuhl smart outdoor outlet, which seems to be found by Homey, but after adding, it says “empty ‘data’ property”. Any clue how to fix this?

No clue, Joep. Quickest “fix” is to use one of the workarounds mentioned in post 1.

Need help. It’s my first time trying to add a Tuya device to Homey so be gentle.

I bought I Siren device from a store I sweden called Jula. It uses Tuya and works perfect in the app.

I have done everything in the link on how to set it up in Tuya cloud development, but what do I do now? I can’t see it in Homey. How do I now add it in to Homey? Add device in Homey doesn’t work, there is no siren there.

No error message whatsoever?

Sometimes it helps to restart Homey. (If I’m correct)

If this replie was for me so no, no error whatsoever. I have restarted the Homey, selected new device but the what? What do i do now?

Feels like I am missing a step, a step that is probably something that is obvious for you, but for a dummy like me not so much. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Should the Siren popup in homey somewhere? If I choose new device - select Tuya cloud app, there is nothing there, just the regular ones that was there before I got into the Tuya cloud management site.

I hit the save and everything clears, just telling me to restart app and all good

No, it needs to be added just like most devices.

That’s very well possible. In that case a siren is not supported directly as a device[1].
But, when you use the workaround called “tap-to-run”, as explained in post Nº 1 of this topic, you should be able to control it.

¹)

Almost all other Tuya cloud connected devices can be controlled / can control Homey with tap-to-run and/or RAW Commands workarounds

Yeah, thanks. Do that also apply on zigbee Tuyas or only on WiFi devices?

Hopefully Peter’s comments help.

If this is a Tuya Zigbee device, I would recommend the [APP][Pro] Tuya Zigbee App - Apps - Homey Community Forum

Or the new: Universal Tuya Zigbee | Homey

No, this Smart Siren is not a zigbee, I’m going to try that later IF i can get this Siren to work. I’m trying the ”Tap to Run” alternative now, and that is not going so well.

Added “tap to run” in the Tuya app and both on and off works there, but never shows up in the app in Homey. Waited 20 min now, have hit the refresh many times and restarted the app. I’m going to start from the beginning again. Maybe I did something last night after reading this topic trying to get this working, probably messed something up.

As it seems a siren is not part of the supported devices: Tuya cloud | Homey
