Hi @Erwin_DeB
Yes it is. Can you try a different charge point?
Sometimes a specific charge point doesn’t work properly
Yes I’ve tried. I’ve multiple installed. From different providers
@Erwin_DeB can you send a diagnostic report ?

@Erwin_DeB I don’t see any issues with this charger. It changes from available to unknown though. but that something I can’t control that’s on the tomtom or even on the charge point side. So from this Homey app everything is working as it should
One of them updated 4 hours ago, but incorrectly… Hasn’t changed since. The other one hasn’t updated since I installed it. Both almost always have at least one car charging irl (I can see both from my windrow), so they should change their status much more often.
TomTom shows 8K requests in the last 7 days with no errors.
Too bad there’s nothing you can do. Thanks anyway. I’ll try tomtom, see if they can do anything. The statuses are updated correctly in other apps so the problem should be on their side.
@Erwin_DeB you can request support here: Login Page - Customer Support
make sure to share the charigng avalaibility ID. You can find that in the device settings. Sometimes they can fix it. Most of the time it’s just the supplier of the charger which implemented something wrong
I am unfortunately experiencing exactly the same problem. Too bad because the idea is great, are there alternatives?
@eovermeer currently only tomtom has this service as im aware off
So sad it’s working reliable for only one charger although it’s slow. Many other chargers are not updated or unreliable.
Searching the right charger is also a pain but that’s not the most important thing here. Do I need to select all API’s? I only checked some of them.
I have a couple of chargers connected and they work perfectly. Those are Alfen charge points which seem to work most of the time.
Don’t know what you’re trying but there’s a FAQ here: [APP][Pro] TomTom EV Service - #4 by martijnpoppen
Btw searching for chargers really helps if you put in the exact address
Yeah that was very useful information. What I mean, default all API’s are selected in the TomTom Dashboard.
Alfen is also the charger who is reliable for me, the others are all from Equans.
@eovermeer i never disabled those api’s in the tomtom dashboard. It should just work.
Hi @martijnpoppen.
Trying to add a charger near a friend of mine, however, no matter what I input, I get a list of chargers that are not really close to that location.
I’ve tried the TomTom API Explorer and that locates the charger just fine.
Even if I enter the exact string that API returns for “freeformAddress”, I still get a completely wrong list of chargers.
It would be helpful if as an alternative to entering an address I could just input the ID that that API returns directly.
Hoping you could look into why I’m not getting the right responses for that location.
Here’s the API request returning that charger:
And here’s the list that is being returned by the app:
-redacted-
I’m getting the impression that the range of the search is too wide, but the number of results is too limited, resulting in the first 10 entries of the actual full list of responses that would be returned for the search if there was no limit, with the charger I’m looking for in the part of the list that is being cut off.
— doing another test
Okay, tried to use the fuzzy search to search on that address:
That request returns the exact single result I’m looking for.
I’ve done on a reboot on my Homey and I’ve tried removing the app and reinstalling it, still not getting the one I’m looking for.
Hoping you can shed some light on this.
Kind regards,
Joost.
@Joost_Schevers I have to dive into this to see whats going on.
I understand. Some weird stuff happening here.
New app update (
LIVE: 1.4.0):
Changelog:
1. FIX: radius in search
@Joost_Schevers fixed ![]()
Thanks Martijn!
Confirmed, this fixed the search.
I can verify the chargingAvailability as indicated on the homey item with the API result.
Future improvement suggestion: add some more info as reported by the search API to the homey item. E.g., the address as reported by the API.
There was a mismatch between what a mobile app reported for that charger and what the TomTom EV service reported and I wanted to verify whether the right charger was found.
Had to look up the chargingAvailabilityId in the TomTom API to verify this.
If that address as reported by the API would have been shown, this would make it easier to confirm the right charger was found.
@Joost_Schevers yes i can add some details to the device settings!
