[APP][Pro][TEST] Hikvision SDK v3

I have send it to you

I sended raport @Brian_Monninkhof

Thanks for your support; I only see camera 1 (PTZ) in the selector—the snapshot seems unnecessary, it would be better to have camera 2.

Hi @Giovanni4312,

The zoom widget refreshes snapshots. For continuous live video, use Homey’s built-in Camera → Live dashboard widget with the camera added through this app.

Your missing second camera is a separate issue: changing the viewer does not add a channel that the app has not detected. Could you send your installed Hikvision app version, exact camera model and firmware version, plus a fresh privacy-safe report through Repair device, by PM? Please include any channel-discovery information shown in the report. That will help establish why only the PTZ channel appears before we change channel detection.

Hi Brian,
I’m testing the new Hikvision SDK v3 app with a Hikvision DS-KV8113-WME1(C) villa door station and I’m unable to complete pairing.

Device details:

  • Model: DS-KV8113-WME1(C)
  • Firmware: V2.2.78 build 241012
  • Homey Pro OS: 13.5.1
  • HTTP port: 80
  • HTTPS port: 443
  • RTSP port: 554

Pairing fails with “Invalid username or password” using:

  • Automatic authentication
  • Digest
  • Basic
  • HTTP
  • HTTPS

However, the same local credentials work correctly in the Hikvision web interface.

I also tested ISAPI manually and authentication works:

  • GET /ISAPI/System/deviceInfo with Digest returns HTTP 200 and valid device information.
  • GET /ISAPI/VideoIntercom/callStatus?format=json also works with Digest.
  • When idle it returns idle.
  • When the physical doorbell button is pressed it changes to ring.

The /ISAPI/Event/notification/alertStream endpoint authenticates but does not provide a persistent event stream on this firmware.

The device previously worked with the older Homey Hikvision app for Live video, although that app showed intermittent authentication/reconnection issues.

The door station itself currently works correctly with both:

  • Hik-Connect
  • Hikvision indoor station

So the credentials and network connectivity appear to be valid, but the new Homey app rejects them during pairing.

Could you please confirm whether DS-KV8113-WME1(C) is currently supported by the new app, or whether this model requires special authentication / web-session fallback handling during pairing?

I can also provide a privacy-safe diagnostic report or test specific ISAPI endpoints if that helps.

The callStatus endpoint appears reliable on this model and could potentially be used as a fallback for doorbell detection.

Thanks in advance for your help and for maintaining this integration.

Best regards,
Lorenzo

I’ve discovered something strange, though. When I install the Hikvision app, I can see my cameras properly (well, one of them; the other one isn’t working yet). But when I enable these cameras in the dashboards, my other cameras stop coming online (they just keep searching and spinning). As soon as I turn off the Hikvision app, the dashboard shows all the cameras again—specifically the ones I’m not displaying via Hikvision.

Strange, isn’t it?

Hi @EdNL,

Could you leave the Hikvision app enabled and temporarily remove only its live camera widgets from the dashboard? Do the other cameras then load again?

Please also mention which Hikvision widgets you use (Homey’s Camera → Live or Hikvision camera with zoom), how many live cameras are open at once, which app supplies the other cameras, and the phone/computer and Homey app or browser you are using.

This should help narrow down where the interference occurs.

Brian

Hi @Brian_Monninkhof
When I delete the Hikvision app, all the cameras immediately reappear. This happens as soon as I launch the Hikvision app and select the “Camera Live” widget from Homey. In contrast, when I use the “Hikvision camera with zoom” widget, I do get an image, but I cannot view the live feed; instead, it refreshes every 10 seconds.

When starting up using the Homey “Camera Live” widget, the images from my other cameras appear quickly. However, when I use the “Hikvision camera with zoom” widget, the cameras just keep searching indefinitely, and no image appears at all.

I am currently using the Widgetkeeper dashboard widgets; the cameras display correctly there and work perfectly.

Hi @EdNL,

Could you send a short screen recording showing what happens when you open the Hikvision camera widgets and the other cameras stop loading? Please show the steps and which widgets you are using, so I can better understand what you mean. You can send it by PM.

Brian

Hi Lorenzo,

The app already includes callStatus polling for compatible door stations. Pairing uses /ISAPI/System/deviceInfo, so your successful manual test is useful, but I cannot yet confirm support for this model and firmware.

Which Hikvision app version is installed? From your successful Digest test, could you share only the authentication algorithm and qop values from the WWW-Authenticate header? Please leave out credentials, the Authorization header, nonce and IP address.

Brian

My computer is a bit old, so I can’t send a video feed. However, I can explain what happens and which apps are involved.

With the Hikvision camera with zoom (the one you created), I get a proper small preview image that refreshes correctly; but as soon as I try to enlarge it, a browser window opens and I see nothing (just a black screen). Because my computer is older, it sometimes freezes at that point (though that’s due to my computer, not the app).

When I use your Hikvision camera with zoom app in conjunction with Homey Pro’s own camera widget (the “Camera Live Feed” app), nothing goes wrong. I can see the Hikvision feeds as well as the feeds from my other camera brands; everything runs smoothly without any issues.

However, if I remove your Hikvision camera with zoom app and use only the standard Homey Pro camera live feed widget, the system freezes. So, when I add my other cameras and those two Hikvision cameras to the Homey Pro camera live widget, everything locks up. It’s a shame, but that’s just how it behaves.

I’ve now installed a new widget option (the Widgetkeeper app) and added your camera feeds to it; it’s been running perfectly. It works really well—no issues, no freezing, nothing.

There seems yo be a bug in the app

On a doorbell the motion flow card doesn’t seems to work, I get motion messages in the hik connect app but nog with a flow, the doorbell works correct in homey and button press works fine in a flow

Hi @gmls,

Could you send the doorbell model, firmware and installed Hikvision app version, plus a screenshot of your Flow trigger?

Please trigger motion, then immediately create a report via Repair device and send it by PM. If available, check that “Notify Surveillance Center” is enabled for motion detection.

The doorbell button can work separately from motion events.

Brian

Morning Brian,

Disregard. A restart of the app solved an issue with cameras being unavailable after app update.
