Wow big thanks! Works like a charm with my 3 Hikvision camera’s! It would be great to add one more feature: when the camera detects motion, the status indicator on the Homey tile should light up blue.

I also wasn’t aware that there was a new Hikvision app in testing. Separately I’ve been writing one, intending to submit it for review. It’s unfortunate that three of us have been independently developing the same thing. Thank you both for your effort in building (and finishing) these!
I’ve also another couple of apps in development. I guess it’s worth posting on the forum beforehand to make sure I’m not duplicating something that already exists.

Has anybody had success getting flows to trigger reliably, using either app? My cameras are connected to an NVR (DS7608 NXI I2/S) and I’m having difficulties. I’ve tried intrusion and line crossing. I’ve also tried updating my NVR to the latest firmware. I can’t get it to work on either app, but for different reasons.
Pierre’s app - I cannot get flows to trigger at all. I’ve turned the device on/off, but this just seems to alter “connectivity alarm”.
Brian’s app - I can get the intrusion start flow to trigger once. But the intrusion end event never triggers. So the intrusion start event never triggers ever again, presumably because it thinks the event never ended. Same for line crossing - starts but doesn’t end. If I delete the app and reinstall it then it triggers exactly once.
You can create a separate login, and this is probably advised. The homey user only needs to be an operator, not an admin.
I created a flow with the intrusion trigger but it doesn’t work at all.
Positive thing is the app doesn’t crash after opening the doorstation in Homey pro 2026

Works perfect on camera, get a notification everytime there is an intruder. I dont use a nvr. Just a operater account directly on camera. Verry happy with this app
Having dug through the raw NVR event stream it looks like the NVR doesn’t send the inactive message. At least, it sends it only for videoloss. The other events it sends active, but never inactive. I guess it needs some form of aging-off to remove events after a few seconds, in place of the NVR sending the end event itself.
Are you interested in open-sourcing your app? I’d be happy to take a look at getting it to work with my NVR and raising a PR.

My problem is that I see no video on my iPhone app and iPad. I have seen that it is not possible to see video (only sound). Do you see on an Apple product?
I can see it on my iPhone but then I have to login via safari and use the app.
Hey EdNL, did you use the Dashboard in Homey? There you can add the widgets and see the images.
I have used the Dashboard widgets to. But that is also not working

Voor mij werkt jouw app perfect op een ding na. Wanneer iemand aanbelt komt er geen melding ondanks ik deze flow heb ingesteld. Ik weet niet waar het aan kan liggen. Bedankt voor al je tijd en moeite! Groetjes Eugène
The other app mentioned here has the “When the doorbell pressed” card, but it doesn’t work. All the other functions are there, very similar to this app. Hard to tell which app is “better” as they both work as expected (other than this one not having a doorbell pressed card and the other one having it but not working propperly).
