I am getting same error as @Jan_Penning and @Rudi_Hendrix on v.2.0.3.
Recreated the issue and sent diagnostics report now. a868dab8-a1fc-40f0-a82c-22b429fad04e
Edit: I am using HP19, btw.

I uninstalled 2.0.2 and installed 2.0.3 from Test. I am getting the same “Invalid EC public key” error.
Your error is caused by the cloud forward. Can you please send me your Homey ID via PM? I will ask Athom about a reason. I would say US has a different regional URL and that’s currently not forwarded.
Same error for me. Every time the app is restarted or updated, the red exclamation mark, which can be solved easily though by repairing the device. HP23, diagnostic report sent eaf9105e-307c-4cd6-87c0-651b3c3ea691
Not sure it is relevant: I’m using two-factor authentication to login to Tesla’s developer environment
Yes, same here: HP23, MFA to login, version 2.0.3 of the app
New test version 2.0.4
And I don’t need further diagnostics reports ![]()
Still the same error with version 2.0.3
I almost forgot… thank you all very much for the donations ![]()
I still have the same issue. I have restarted and repaired a couple of times on v 2.0.4, with the same result.
Hello Ronny
I was able to transfer my existing vehicle to the new app without any problems (try repair).
But now I have the problem that I have to do this repair every morning.
Is this a known problem?
I have HP23
Tesla App Version 2.0.4
New test version 2.0.5
Tested… ![]()
What can we do to provide more information on where the issue may be?
@RonnyW is using the API with the Tesla app on Homey Free because I did not register a payment method. Do we need to expect future billing from Tesla due to tusing this app an API? Or is this secured at all times?
What is secure for all times? ![]()

Currently you have 10$ free. Without subscription, nothing is charged. With subscription, you can set a limit.
Can you please try the repair again? Athom fixed the cloud forward.
Valid point
. Thanks! Nice job
I was able to complete the setup and have my car appearing as a device. Much appreciated! Hopefully this will save other North American users from the same problem.
This is for a different issue than the one I am running into, right? (Because I still am)
Yes, that’s different. It was an issue forwarding the public key request to Homey.
I still search for a possible reason for your issue.
