[APP][Pro] Skoda

Hey,

The app relies on the python sdk, which not compatible with Homey 2019 or earlier. I fear I cannot do anything about that, it is up to Homey to provide support for the python sdk on older devices. If they do, the app will get compatible, if not, it will stay that way.

There are no good existing apis for skoda in javascript or typescript, and since the api tends to change (as mentioned by the original author of the skoda/vw/audi/… apps) I want to rely on a library that is well maintained and supported. That exists for python.

Kind regards

Same here. 8000%.

Hello, and thank you for the new Škoda app.

At the moment, the latest versions cannot be installed on the Homey SHS. An error message appears saying ‘incompatible_app_version’. Perhaps you could help.

Thank you and best regards

Hey guys,

@Morgan @Daderu

That’s extremly weird. For me it shows 80% - which model of car do you guys have?

@Frankman

Could you share a screenshot maybe? I fear though that I cannot do much about that.

Hi Kenny, here’s the screenshot.

I have Enyaq 85x -25

But the THEN-card to set charging limit don’t set limit to 8000% :slight_smile:

@KennyMoens

I drive an Enyaq 80, from 2022.

Have driven a couple of times now, but range and km-counter stay empty. I’ve made an diagnostics report: 27731c9c-cf32-4762-9848-87e2f09eae79

Hello guys,

@Frankman

I fear the Homey SHS is not supported properly then, there is not much I can do about that, this screen is outside of my control: it is the Homey platform that provides that. I suggest you to file a support request to Homey itself about it.

@Morgan

I have to dig deeper then, will note it down and have a look later on.

@Daderu

That’s strange, I have the same model, and it works nicely for me. The diagnostics report doesn’t make me wiser, I’ll expand the app in a way that we can get more debug information out on the data that is received by you. Hopefully we can figure it out that way.

That would be most likely to the fact that yout Homey SHS is not up-to-date.
The Skoda app requires 13.0.0 or higher version of the Homey OS.

Great, thank you. That was it.

Hello guys,

@Morgan

Found something out, the target soc should be correct again with v0.3.7.

@Daderu

I’ve added - in v0.3.7 - a field inside the settings of the device. This field lists all data I receive from the car, could you send me that info as a private message? I’ll be able to fix things based on it I hope.

BE AWARE! This field contains personal data such as phone number, address, VIN, email,… be sure to read it first and remove any data you don’t want to share.

Kind regards,

I think something slipped in the code :slight_smile:

No 8000%

@KennyMoens

Would gladly do so, but there is no such field. There is a device info field under advanced setting, but it doesn’t contains named infos.

The slider is gone (in the app) on my side.

Hey guys,

@Morgan - that’s very weird, I see it in the mobile app as well, but not on the web app. I’ve removed the title in the docs, as probably this is a bug with Homey itself.

@Daderu - could you share a screenshot? Normally it should contain data. The slider is gone as I disabled that temporary due to issues with it.

@KennyMoens

I found another issue.

“In beweging” (on the move) and “ontsteking” (ignition), remain at this status, even when the car is definitely on the move. Had the rare change to check this while me wife was on the road with the car.

Hey,

Do the other values update at that time? Just validated here - my wife is away with the car - and it nicely shows that the car is in motion and has its ignition on:

Be aware that the update interval is only every 5 minutes.

Kind regards,

only these 2 do:

For “deur vegrendeld” etc. A paid subscription is required, so I figured these values aren’t available for me, as I haven’t.

Hi @KennyMoens!

First of all, thank you for the great app – it works reliably and integrates well with Homey.

I’m using it to track EV charging and automate energy monitoring, and I have a few feature requests that would significantly improve the experience:

  1. Charging session tracking:

    • Start/stop events with a session ID
  2. Charged energy (kWh):

    • Per session if available
    • Or at least total charged energy (daily/monthly)
  3. Real-time charging power (kW)

  4. More detailed charging states:

    • Separate “plugged in” vs “charging”
  5. Faster or push-based updates (webhooks if possible)

  6. Battery capacity (usable kWh) for accurate calculations

These would allow much more accurate automation and eliminate the need for external power measurements.

Thanks again for your work!

Hello, when I install the app and start it first time , it came with a error (see picture).

It run it on SHS
