[APP][Pro] Skoda

Unfortunately, the issue still persists: internal server error. Here is the error log from the new test version of the app

Hey,

Thanks, I’ve asked the Skoda team for help on this. I’ll keep you updated.

Kind regards,

Hello @Ondrej_Stanek ,

Based on the investigation of the Skoda team, your car does not seem to support setting the temperature when triggering the aux. heating, this triggers the error on their side.

They are looking into finding a resolution for this.

Kind regards,

High @KennyMoens

Thank you for your time and effort. Yes, I know, the temperature setting isn’t available even in the MyŠkoda app. I just need to turn the auxiliary heater on or off. The temperature defaults to the last setting used in the vehicle.

Best regards

Hello guys,

Skoda v2.6.1: auxiliary heating without a temperature

Available from Skoda | Homey

@Ondrej_Stanek , thanks for your patience, and for the diagnostics that helped narrow this down. Since Skoda confirmed your car doesn’t accept a temperature when starting the auxiliary heating, I’ve added a way around it in v2.6.1:

  • New flow card “Start auxiliary heating” with no temperature argument. It sends the start command without a target temperature, so the car just uses its own last setting. You still need the S-PIN in the device settings.
  • The heating button on the device still sends your target temperature first. If the API answers with an internal server error, the app now retries once without the temperature. So for cars like yours the button should work too, and the retry only happens when the first attempt fails.
  • The existing “Start auxiliary heating at … °C” card is unchanged.

Could you update and try the new card, or the button, and let me know if it works on your Kodiaq? If it doesn’t, please send an app diagnostics report from the app settings. The retry costs one extra request of the 20 per hour the API allows, which shouldn’t matter for normal use.

Kind regards,

:ok_hand: Awesome, it works! Huge thanks!
