Ik have the same problem but tv sends a 4 digit code and the app has a 5 digit code.
Same problem here!
Just added my TV and it works great. My compliments for that!
Can I send you a feature request? I like the “AmbiHue” function of the Ambilight TV, but a “HueAmbi” would be great when the TV is in stand-by mode.
This would make my room less dark when I don’t watch TV.
With the key ambilight_color, you should be able to send your own color (using hue, saturation and brightness) to the TV. And with the key ambilight_brightness you should be able to set the brightness.
Did it work to add the TV with the Homey app Philips TV?
Yeah, it worked for me. Just followed the steps and that worked for me, so I cant give you that golden hint. At least, not yet.
@lucasvdh I like your app, so if I can do anything to help you, just let me know. I don’t know anything about the app itself, but I do know a lot about networking and API’s.
Still can’t add the tv unfortunately. When I put the port behind I get at api 1 a different message. Maybe someone has an idea. I tried Al the API versions
Is there already a solution for the PIN not correct error/anyone able to look into it? Would love to be able to use the possibilities of jointspace but keep getting the PIN error
?
I have a same problem. Philips Remote app working fine with the code!
Hi there,
Same error here to pair the TV: I have the 4 digits on the TV, but the app says that the pin is incorrect…
That’s so bad, I would love to control the TV with Homey.
My TV: 55PUS7303/12 - year 2018.
The following URL works for me:
http://{your_tv_ip}:1925/6/system
, and here is the Json response:
`{"notifyChange":"http","menulanguage":"French","name":"TV_Salon","country":"France","serialnumber_encrypted":"gr9IPZi\/NwTUGbSQIQIf7Ni0L+F0KvTcb63mUHhLGNo=\n","model_encrypted":"PrkdsCDAHp8N2lKh4LVJj2sY0+F7trk+3Ama92Mpb0s=\n","deviceid_encrypted":"I2t1NIaOyM6GHRNJkD6yrlCZFFUYRe7J2CTkRyLuqNI=\n","nettvversion":"8.0.1","epgsource":"one","api_version":{"Major":6,"Minor":1,"Patch":0},"featuring":{"jsonfeatures":{"editfavorites":["TVChannels","SatChannels"],"recordings":["List","Schedule","Manage"],"ambilight":["LoungeLight","Hue","Ambilight"],"menuitems":["Setup_Menu"],"textentry":["context_based","initial_string_available","editor_info_available"],"applications":["TV_Apps","TV_Games","TV_Settings"],"pointer":["not_available"],"inputkey":["key"],"activities":["intent"],"channels":["preset_string"],"mappings":["server_mapping"]},"systemfeatures":{"tvtype":"consumer","content":["dmr","pvr"],"tvsearch":"intent","pairing_type":"digest_auth_pairing","secured_transport":"true","companion_screen":"true"}}}`
Thanks a lot for your help, Lucas!
Is there a plan to fix the pairing issue @lucasvdh?
I am willing to make a donation if it’s fixed. Like to hear from you.
For a time the app did work on my TV as well the Philips app. Then both apps stopped working. But I just discovered that on the 29th of April 2020 the Philips app got bug fixed and is working again.
This app has still issues with incorrect pin. Maybe the bugfixing of the Phillips app gives some insights.
Thanks for pointing out the Philips tv app works again. Now if only there was a fix for the incorrect pin…:(◠‿◕)
I have managed to get the tv working. But after a while IT doesn’t work anymore. Wol is enabled… So what AM i doing wrong. Got the action turn on / shut down.
I thought I was going crazy because it said incorrect pin. Thought I was doing something wrong. But luckily it has nothing to do with my mental health. is there a work around for the incorrect pin maybe?
Nobody knows…
I had also problems with the incorrect pin recently but have it working now. How? Don’t really know the fix but I updated the official Phillips app which is updated last week and connected the TV again. After got this working again I tried out this app again on homey and after restart of the app I got it working again including WoL. Only downside is that mapping of some keys like volume don’t work but is not that big issue.
Which Philips app was updated this week?
Philips TV Remote
Ah oke, the Android version.
