Ah damn, that’s what I feared.
If I can help in any way, by sharing my car data for example, let me know!!!

Ah, that’s the reason! I also got the red triangle on my Homey2019 and tried to solve it by removing my eNiro from app. But now I can’t add it anymore –> Authorisation failed error message
@Gruijter: The official apps have the warning “NOTE: THIS APP ONLY WORKS ON HOMEY PRO 2024. It cannot be installed on a Homey Pro 2016/2019.”
Do you mean “Homey Pro 2023”? I thought the latest pro edition was (early)2023, or there a different 2024 edition?
And another question: You also mention
“Due to license restrictions, the number of server requests and car status updates is limited by Kia/Hyundai. You will be locked out of their service if you overuse it. Use at your own risk!”
What is the limit on the number of requests per 24 hours? And what does “locked out“ mean, for how long and does this also apply to Kia’s own app?
While charging, I’d like more frequent updates because this doesn’t seem to drain the 12V battery. Currently, I have a flow that force updates every 20 minutes when charging. Is this already too much, or can I update even more often? Ideally, every 4-5 minutes (that’s a 1% increase @ 12kW).
Yes. Need to change the text ![]()
Unknown. They keep changing it.
People have received official letters in the past. I have been locked out once. That was restored 1 or 2 weeks later, after contacting them.
I wouldnt update that often. Every whole 10% SoC is automatically updated by the car without forced poll. Also when the charging stops it is updated. What is your use case for updating that often?
I’m familiar with the standard updates, but currently I mainly charge slowly using surplus solar power (10-14 amps, but more panels are on the way). But I do want to achieve a certain minimum range, depending on whether I have to go somewhere and how far away.
I want to use Homey to automate when I can start/stop charging, in combination with starting/stopping other major consumers in the house. There’s a lot to optimize, without buying an expensive home battery.
The 10% SOC auto update is a pretty big step in this scenario, and it also can take up to 4 hours between updates.
5% will be much more useful. Lower isn’t really necessary, just for nice, smooth insights
.
What do you recommend as a minimum forced update interval (during charging, which can take up to 12h on certain days), 20 minutes? 60?
The thing is, I don’t actually need “server updates” while charging in this case; it would be nice to be able to temporarily disable them and replace them with forced updates. Or maybe an extra option in the settings for refresh interval during charging, like “Car on update interval”.
I assume that all updates count towards the maximum number of server requests?
Edit:
Or something like the option to disable server updates (or very high interval) and do it manually via flow cards.
You can set the server update interval in advanced settings.
I cannot recommend a forced update interval during charging. Maybe try 15 minutes?
But first the new api needs to be fixed to work again with Homey (and other platforms like HA). That will likely take a long time… ![]()
Yes, I know, but in situations other than charging I do want to receive the regular server updates (15 minutes). Then I would have to change it back and forth manually every time. While the goal is to automate something.
It worked today with 20 minute interval for 6 hours, that’s good enough for now.
There’s no rush, just ‘nice to have’ ideas to make the most of the limited number of server requests and not waste them in certain scenario’s.
But of course, the current API issues clearly have a higher priority
Same problem here. Using the HP23.
And both the official and kia /hyundai app doesnt work. Same error message as Frits_van_Aalsum.
Tried everything. Seems to be either a server or homey app issue.
@Gruijter /@RM_de_Gruijter can you help to fix this problem?
I keep getting this error when trying to link my bluelink account:
What is different is that when I choose USA as a region, I actually get ‘incorrect username/password’ errors instead, which is as it should be.
Could there be a bug in the app in how the message values are sent to their servers when Europe is set as the region?
No. The different regions use completely different authentication methods. EU region is using the most complex methods to secure the api.
Good news: work is well in progress to fix the issues ![]()
I am having the same problem here. Tried to connect my EV6 to Homey Pro for the first time today and have same error code 4010.
I just connected my (Hyundai) car again and everything is working again.
Thanks for the support and the quick fix ![]()
Update 17:35: App is not working anymore, please help ![]()
n00b question but where are you seeing this fix?
The kia app does not seem to have had an update yet (and is still not working for me)?
I see the HA Kia integration does work again now, so that’s promising!
I received the dreaded exclamation mark on my EV6, and after removing it, I now get the error message below.
You have a source? Not working for me yet.
The nodejs community (needed to provide a fix that also works for Homey) is very small…. (On Discord, if you are looking for a source).
It is clear what needs to be changed, but someone has to be able and put in the effort to implement it. Once the library is fixed, updating the Homey apps will be done by me in a flash. ![]()
But the old Homeys (2016/2019) will not be fixable untill Athom updates the NodeJS version in the firmware.
I have no idea what you mean, but I’m sure it’ll all work out ![]()

Update 05-08-2025 10:30: everything is working fine again. Thank you very much ![]()
Exactly the same problem with the Niro. First a red exclamation mark and then the same error message with the new installation.
But I can reassure you. Nothing is working with Home Assistant at the moment either. We will probably have to wait.
