Hi @MarcoFrax, thanks for sharing. I have only iOS devices, but your app visuals look great. Congrats!
Oh, maybe one day I will try to make also an iOS app and release both to the community asap.

hi works it with the Melcoud Home?
i am from holland so my english is not so good.
thanks Gr. Marcel v Gelder
Hi @Marcel_van_Gelder, Iāve started to investigate about the best implementation, but no estimated release date.
Hello,
Is it possible to change the device class from one of my airco units. Three has as class thermostat, the last one added uses heatpump as device class. See attached screenshots from the developer tools. I all want them to be thermostat because the thermostat class can be better controlled with my google net hub.
Hi @Witteflits,
The reason why one has heatpump is that it was created (or recreated) later than the others.
Device class is āhard-codedā and cannot be customized or changed manually, so itās not possible anymore since Homey doesnāt allow to downgrade and then retrieve the version where it was thermostat and recreate the device (itās possible on your local machine with command lines, after changing the code: I can explain you in private message if you want, but itās a bit nerdyā¦).
The other (better) way would be to ask Google to treat the heatpump class like the thermostat one. On Homeyās side it allows more flexibility for the metric you want to display on device tiles, and the ask from the customers was to be able to display the measured temperature rather than the target one: only heatpump class allows that.
Hello Oliver,
Thanks for your explanation. I appreciate it if you can provide me the information how to change the device class localy. In the meantime I would ask google to treat the heatpump class like the thermostat
Best regards,
Harm
Itās true that there are two fan speed values. The one called āFan speedā is a value that you can modify (for my heatpump the value corespond to the following, 0= auto, 1=low, 2=lowmedium, 3=medium, 4=mediumhigh, 5=high). The value ācurrent fan speedā is a value that correspond to the actual fan speed and can not be set (for example if you set the āfan speedā to auto, you will see what the fan is actually running at. For me it varies between 0 and 5 (0= off, 1=low, 2=lowmedium, 3=medium, 4=mediumhigh, 5=high), but I can only see this in the insight since there is something funky with the custom capabilities, like @OlivierZal mentioned.
Not sure when things has changed. When i posted this a year ago the values corresponded to the speed level increasing with increased number, the old value 1 (low/silent) has changed to number 6 and from what i can see number 1 is not used anymore. Noe this is what the levels correspond to 0= off, 1=not in use, 2=low, 3=medium, 4=high, 5=super high 6=silent. I also got hold of the airflowdata to be able to calculate the current COOP-value.
hi @Antohagg, fan speed state is a value which is not handled, but comes directly from MELCloud API. Itās a number, so itās hard to say thatās the true meaning of the value, which may also depend on the device model.
Yea, thats what I thought. I got the numbers by setting the value in the official app and noting down the value of the current fan stats. I just thought of posting if someone was wondering. ![]()
Unfortunately, I cannot connect the MELCloud Wi-Fi module to the old MELCloud app. I understand that this Homey app currently cannot connect to the new MELCloud Home app API. Therefore, I will wait for an official fix or solution.
If you need test-user, let me know
Hi @Jasper_Meijrink, I have what I need for air-to-air, Iām now searching for air-to-water and erv users.
Hi @OlivierZal
Is there a possibility to launch the air-to-air functionality earlier? Or would you rather wait until all devices are available in the app? You mentioned that you are working on it but that it takes time. Do you have a rough indication? For example, will it take months/years, or is it a matter of days/weeks?
Kind regards,
Jasper
Hi @Jasper_Meijrink,
I wonāt wait for all devices. Iād say it could be available late April but I cannot commit.
Kind regards
Hi, does someone have more than 1 device in MELCloud Home?
I have 3 air to air devices in melcloud home.
Hi Oliver, i have 4 air-to-air devices in different rooms and two outdoor units.
Good news, I have a working version of MELCloud Home on my local development environment.
Iāll try to release a test version soon.
Very Nice! i am willing to switch to the Home Cloud to test ![]()
