I am going through exactly the same: no memory on HP2023 and moving parts to SHS.
Logging: I am now using the built-in webhook to send logging texts to SHS where I have moved Telegram and Whatsapp to save memory on HP2023. With a little text encoding, it works like a charm.
HomeyLink: I installed HomeyLink and it seems to work fine. What are the issues you are seeing?
Homesh Triggers: This would require installing Homesh on both sides. I used it in the past and looks much like Advanced Triggers (same star developer @Arie_J_Godschalk 
). But it means more complexity/maintenance of starting flows on the other side and it would not save much memory.
Before spending too much time building flows on SHS, I prefer to wait and see if and when Athom comes with a migration that will almost sure wipe out the work. Why are you considering Homesh?
