[APP][Pro] HomeFlux EMS – Your energy, managed differently

Thanks Davy, understood, I’ll stay on mode control.

I will sent the planning diagnostics report by mail (session started 08:20 today, covers the test). It confirms it: at both stops (18:21:05 and 18:27:26 local, 16:21Z / 16:27Z) the EV decision shows gridPowerW 11008 / 10908 W, requested EV power 11085 W and EV feedback 15.8 A → “Peak Guard laat geen gezamenlijk EV-laadvermogen toe”.

One more thing in the same report you may want to look at. At 16:26:52Z, right after the EV restarted, HomeFlux published a battery command of −3142 W (grid charging) for about 10 s. controlGridPowerW was −8742 W with source average_5_inputs_ev_grid_target. It looks like the 5-sample grid average from before the EV started, minus the EV target, made it look like 8.7 kW export. Together with the car (11 kW) and the house (0.7 kW) the grid briefly peaked at ~14.9 kW. I’m in Hybrid EMS mode with an SMA battery. At 16:20:34Z there was a similar pending battery command of 9979 W, but it was not published.

V1.1.20 should adress the unwanted stops. (bug in codepad)
If it still happens trace it with planning checked.

Regards Davy

This example demonstrates how to automatically switch an EV charger between single-phase and three-phase charging using HomeFlux EMS.

Important: Avoid switching phases too frequently. Some chargers temporarily stop the charging session when changing phases and may require additional time to restart.

To prevent unnecessary interruptions, configure a sufficiently long interval between EV control commands in HomeFlux EMS. This gives the charger enough time to complete the phase transition and resume charging reliably.

Tip: Use a longer command interval if your charger frequently stops or restarts when switching phases.

Thanks Davy, 1.1.20 fixes it! Repeated the same Snel test: 13 minutes at 11 kW without a single Peak Guard stop. The new peakGuardAccounting in the planning log shows currentEvPowerW ~10.9 kW being taken into account (grid 11.2 kW, budget 11.1 kW, limit 15 kW). Also no grid-charge battery command at EV start anymore; only a short “Netladen” status text.
