Hello, would you mind testing it and giving me some feedback?
I see a lock function for the GDO but it fails both in Then flow card and trying to use it manually from the device settings. In the flow test the āthenā lock card fails when trying to execute. Trying manually it fails with a red alert box that says Failure For [NaN] AT [2].
Thanks,
Howard
I started having disconnect issues with all my Konnected Alarm Panel Pro devices right after I added the ESPHome Controller GDO device to Homey to test the recent update. If I restart the ESPHome Controller app the devices come back online but after a few minutes they drop off again. Iām on ESPHome Controller Version 1.1.6 and Homey Pro 13.1.0 RC7. I removed the GDO device but the issue remains. Thanks, Howard.
Yesterday, after installing the beta version of Homey, I ran into the same issue. Iāll monitor the logs for a while to see if the problem is caused by Homey or the esphome app, and then Iāll make a fix.
Could you test it and let me know the results?
The update seems to have resolved the issue. All the Alarm Panel Pro window and door sensors are connected and working. Itās been around an hour since I updated and nothing has gone offline. I do have a question on which app I should use to control my Konnected devices moving forward. The current ESPHome app or the recent Konnected Home Security and Garage app you released? Thanks, Howard
I recommend using the new Konnected app Iāve developed. The new app offers much better support.
Ok, thanks. Is the configuration process similar to ESPHome? Are there any tips or suggestions to make the process simpler? Also, do I still need to enable the Konnected local native api? Thanks, Howard
The app is very similar to esphome, but with the Alarm Panel Pro, you can add all sub-devices at once. You donāt need to add them one by one.
Can I do them in parallel? Leave the ESPHome in place while I add in the devices with Konnected app. Then after all is working on Konnected, delete the ESPHome devices? Let me know. Thanks, Howard
I think you should give it a try; I donāt think itāll cause any problems. Itās a standalone app.
I moved everything over to the Konnected app and deleted the devices attached to ESPHome. All seemed to go well with no issues. Very straightforward and simple. Iād still like to be able to control the GDO remote lock. Thanks, Howard.
I made a fix for this in the Konnected app, but the version Iāve sent to Homey doesnāt include this fix yet and is currently going through the certification process. Once Homey approves it and the certification process is complete, Iāll upload the fixed version.
Sounds good. Thanks, Howard.
Ugur, Iāve seen a couple of app updates and now on V1.1.7 of the Konnected app. Not sure if this has the fix you referred to. I see the remote lock setting on the device settings page but it doesnāt seem to change the actual state of the GDO to locked/unlocked. If I go to the web settings page of the native Konnected GDO app and enable/disable it works correctly. Here is a screenshot from that page if that helps any. I could also send you the log. I could control manually from the Konnected app but I was hoping to do it automatically via flow card.
I made another correctionācould you please re-upload it and try again?
When I tested the remote lock from the app settings menu it looks to be working correctly now. The led on the wall control flashes when locked and solid when unlocked. This is the correct behavior. When I go to add a flow there is no then card for the lock. Here is what I see in advanced flow creation. Seems like almost there. Thanks again.
Ugur, I was mistaken in my statement of no Then card for remote lock. I was looking under the specific GDO. I now see the remote lock Then card is under the main Konnected app dropdown. You then select which GDO from the Then card. I was able to create an advanced flow to enable and disable the remote lock and it tested out correctly. Sorry for the false alarm. Everything looks great now. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Thank you for your feedback
Doesnāt yet properly support the features of the disco variant of the ratgdo (e.g. vehicle arrival).
