[APP][Pro&Cloud] Shelly

Hello!

Today, I successfully installed my Shelly Pro 3EM, and it’s functioning perfectly. However, I have encountered an issue with some unusual readings. It appears that the application or driver is occasionally confusing the devices with their respective A/B/C sensors.

To illustrate this problem, the device in the screenshot below should correspond to phase sensor C and should display a power consumption of approximately 1.3 kWh. Unfortunately, at times, it incorrectly registers the power consumption of 0.03 kWh from phase sensor A.

Is this a known issue, and could you let me know if there is any way I can assist in resolving it?

Could you check if this happens around every minute. That would help me pinpoint the source.

Thank you for the quick response. I’ve taken note of the timing pattern you described:

  1. Correct value from sensor C (initial update).
  2. After 40-50 seconds, it switches to the incorrect value from sensor A.
  3. After 60 seconds, it’s updated to the correct value again, and the cycle repeats.

The timing does seem to be a minute but it varies when the device is updated with the correct/incorrect sensor reading

Are we talking about the actual power consumption (measure_power / active power measurement on a phase) or energie consumption (meter_power / total active energy on a phase) which is showing as incorrect?

Sorry for the confusion, I’m talking about the meter_power capability.

i have this problem i cannot realy find a awsner for. i have added a shelly plug s to homey but after a few seconds it would adjust the IP adress to 192.168.2.2 while in the shelly app it is 192.168.68.121. and when i would adjust the ip code in homey for the plug it would revent it after a few seconds. when its back at 2.2 i cannot switch the plug on or off. only read out all data.

I have issues with updating the Shelly app through Homey phone app.

There is just a red error message saying that the app can’t be updated.

What could be wrong?

What is the version you have installed? There is currently a new release waiting to be approved by Athom, perhaps they messed something up with how updates are installed.

Yeah, there is nothing I can do about that so you will have to consult with Athom. Sending a diagnostic report wont help as that will only contain logging from the app itself. This is something with Homey itself.

This is probably going to take a while. By looking at the code I cant see what’s wrong and I dont have the ability to test this in a proper setup. I’ll refactor some of the code involved hopefully fixing this on along with it.

Awesome! This was indeed the trick. Had a deco m9 and setting it to acces mode worked. Also fixed the problem I had trying to connect to my LG WebOS tv.

Hi! I have problem. Every now and then shelly seems not to get command thru from homey. In advanced flows it wont show as an error, it just wont do anything. It would be good if it was shown as an error so i could reboot shelly device in flow and try again. Is it possible also to reboot shelly app in flow?

You should look into this instead of creating work arounds. It indicates networking issues. Is this Homey Pro or Homey Cloud?

When there is an actual error the flow card will return this error. In case of networking issues and commands timing out this could take 30 seconds to return the error though.

As far as I know you can programmatically reboot an app, Athom does not allow this.

Its homey pro. I can’t see why it would be connectivity problem. while homey gives timeout i can control device in shelly mobile app with no problems? As speaking my shelly pro 2 device seems to be online in homey pro but again i cant get commads thru "timeout. Works in shelly app. I will send diagnostic.

The diagnostic report shows a load of error.request errors indicating that the request from Homey didnt get a response from the Shelly in time. You might not be able to see it why this works from the Shelly app but not from Homey but the logs do not lie. It’s something in your network which is not for me to solve.

I’m looking for some users that can do a quick smoke test of the version currently available in the app store. All I need to know is if the device status of your Shelly devices are still being updated correctly on this release.
