[APP][Pro&Cloud][Official] Kia and Hyundai

@RM_de_Gruijter I noticed this time-zone bug is still persisting. Not a big impact item, but just wanted to make sure it’s somewhere on your list. Thanks for the excellent app maintenance! It’s used a lot.

Thx for reminding. Will be fixed in next release.

New version 2.4.0 is ready for testing:

  • Add next departure capability
  • Add enable/disable departure schedule buttons and flows
  • Fix refresh timezone
  • Improve server unavailable error

The next departure information shows what schedule was set in the car itself. You can setup 2 week schedules within the Kia/Hyundai mobile apps. With Homey you can enable/disable the schedules from the mobile app or from a flow.

I am curious if any of you use the built-in week schedule. And if you do, how do you use that in combination with charging schedules you have built with Homey flows?

The app had been displaying distance & speed in miles/mph but has now reverted to km (presumably since the most recent update, but it could have been an earlier one as I haven’t looked at the app for a while). I did very briefly change the car to km when I was checking units for the temperature readings but , almost immediately changed it back once I had determined that it would change (probably in km for less than a minute). Range in the app is saying the same number the car says but reporting it as km where the car says miles.

Edited to add: I’ve since noticed the odometer is also the correct mileage figure, it is just labelled in km/h. I’ve not been able to check speed. If the car is moving, I am driving it. So, until I’m travelling with someone who can check what it says, that option is not available to me.

Changing the temperature to Fahrenheit in the car for much longer (from one day to the next) didn’t seem to result in a corresponding change in the app.

can you send another app diagnostics report 1 minute after app restart? Add the actual range and odo (with unit) in the description.

Done. Figures from my Hyundai app included, screenshot below

new version 2.5.1 is ready for testing:

  • Enable Homey Cloud installs
  • Add car repair
  • Fix capability and unit migrations
  • Multiple stability fixes
  • Added dashboard widget

Now Homey cloud users can also use the app :hugs:
@Rick_Heath Can you give it another go? I have good hopes this version is the one for you

And I just spent another few hours to finish a nice dashboard, I think, for Homey Pro (@Kraakenes !):

Distance & range are now displaying the correct figures & units in miles/mph (although I can’t confirm speed but the display does now say mph).

Temperature remains stubbornly on Celcius despite having changed it on the car to Fahrenheit. I note here that the official myHyundai app has also stayed in Celcius for climate settings, at least so far. I’ll leave the car in Fahrenheit for mow & see if either updates eventually.

It won’t. For some mystic reason temperature in Homey is always handled in Celcius (it is actually mandatory for app developers), and gets magically transformed by Homey itself to Fahrenheit in some regions based on Homey location.

I have used Vent windows button once and it stays like this forever. There is no Close windows button, so I had to use the Flow to close them. When the windows are opened, the Vent windows button should be replaced with Close windows one.

Yes, you wanted to vent

But seriously, I’ll have a look at it.

I managed to get some speed readings which seemed to be in the right ballpark for the mph speed limits &/or conditions at the times registered (40/20/slow/parking & also labelled as mph).

New version 2.5.2 ready for testing:

  • Fixed dashboard widget previews
  • Added option to upload own car image
  • Fixed window close/vent button (please test @hubo )
  • Fix command timeout in Homey GUI

Awesome to see that the app is back! I just send diagnostics from for a Hyundai Inster where the 12V alarm is going. That shouldn’t be the case. I don’t have the car near me but the app is still communicating and updating, and diagnostics notes no issues.

I will have a look at it

will be fixed in a next version. In the mean time you can ‘reset’ the 12v alarm by driving the car for a while.

Great work on the widget! Looks really great!

I noticed that the flow card “car status changed”, fires before all car variables are updated. This results in my case in reporting the previous SoC. I solved it for now with a simple wait x seconds card, but I think it’s best fixed in the app.

edit:

Additionally, would it be possible to disable unlocking the car from the app and widget in app settings? My car is always parked on public street and out of sight. I’m always quite nervous of accidentally unlocking the car remotely.

Many thanks for considering!

Version 2.6.0 is ready for testing:

  • Add India and Brazil region support
  • Fix New Zealand and China region support
  • Add disable door/window control setting (please test @Qx5)
  • Fix time/odo in some regions
  • Fix CA PIN cache
  • Improve API error message
  • Fix 12V battery alarm init (please test @Raimond)
  • Fix flow tags race issue (please test @Qx5)
  • Fix getLocation on non-ccs2
  • Fix offPeakPowerFlag inversion on ccs2
  • Stability improvements

This is a pretty big update with a lot of improvements and small fixes under the hood.
The non-EU regions still have largely been unconfirmed.
So,
IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE EU, PLEASE RESTART THE APP AND SEND AN APP DIAGNOSTICS REPORT AFTER 2 MINUTES!
That will help me further improve this app!

Super super work on the widget. I have to ask what kind of image do I have to use to get day and night mode to display a car with white and black background. I have tried to google ioniq png transparent background and trying many urls but it does not show right. It went ok in the Skoda widget so what might I be doing wrong? @Gruijter

Get or make a transparent background. And you did see the small camera icon to upload your own image without the need to use a url?
