I do own a Broadlink RM4 Pro with Temperature/Humidity cable. Would it be possible to add to the device the “Climate” function (that it appears to the extra Climate Button on the top)? Because at the moment as you can see, only my Netatmo Sensor is visible, although the RM4 Pro reads the same values.
Maybe you have it just disabled for your RM4 Pro ?

I don’t really think so, as in my case it appears in the Climate section.
Can you check the respective setting I posted above ?
My screen is from the climate section, the option part. I’ve checked the device settings as well. I don’t have a climate section there.
Netatmo has a under “Erweiterte Einstellungen” an option for “Steuerung”.
I don’t have this setting on my Broadlink device. Instead I do have the energy option in the bottom…
Let me check later
RM4 Pro IR learning times out. Firmware 62092, device unlocked. Diagnostic report: 529c4a97-12a5-4e15-a6f6-f14381700c40
Wow that’s awesome @Sharkys !! I’ve seen that you have released a new test version. I’ll test it as soon as the version goes productive. Or do I need to test it? I’m hesitating because otherwise I’ll probably have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get back to the normal version.
This is up to you, but this version will go as production version later anyway.
Hi @Sharkys
Following on from my Github query. I have the RM4 Pro, have it connected to my Homey Pro and also to the android app. Trying to get it to learn a single remote, 433.92Mz RF
[3410-029RF-01] Rf Remote With Transmission Code for WEN 3410
I am able to fully learn the remote and use it successfully using the Broadlink app. When I do so, it asks for the frequency range and I enter 433.92 and then it learns the 3 buttons with short presses.
When I try to do the learning through the Homey Pro, I click on the “Learn RF command” button, which lights up. I point the original remote at the RM4 Pro about 10cm away. I hold the button down until I get an error saying that the learning failed. I have also tried short presses, nothing works.
I sent a diagnostic report. LMK if you need the code.
Questions:
Is there a way to get the data from the broadlink app and make a .json out of it?
Is there a way to bypass the “long press” range discovery phase and instead manually set the range to 433.92 and then learn with short presses, the same way it is done through the app?
Hi, in the log I see that actually temp-humidity data are not polled, please do the following :
Any of the step shell result in the the temp-humidity data appearing back in Homey - then attempt RF again.
From which app ? I implemented JSON backups in Homey Broadlink app some time ago, please check the thread
That’s not currently implemented, as not many people will be able to enter exact frequency, that’s why frequency sweep is used.
Just did everything you suggested, same result.

I do believe that this particular remote does not produce long signals but only very short ones.
In Broadlink app settings → command manager, select the RM4 Pro, enter 433.92 MHz, and click Learn RF. This skips scanning and captures repeated short presses. Leave it blank for automatic scanning.
Please test and report back ideally with diagnostic log.
Still what worries me that your device is not reporting back temp/humity, even in latest logs…I will add lock detections, just to rule out those cases.
I do not have the probe for temp / humidity plugged into the device so I believe that’s why you’re not getting that data.
I just ran the process you described. In the config panel, I typed in 433.92 and then clicked Learn RF button. I pressed each of the 3 buttons on the remote repeatedly while doing this. I never got any signal telling me that it had captured. However I now see 5 commands. Not sure how to actually use these, as they are not showing up as “buttons” in the device on Homey.
I also tried typing in 433.92 then clicking Learn RF in the config panel, then in the device in the homey app I clicked Learn RF and clicked repeatedly. I’m not sure which of these two processes created these 5 captures.
Anyway, can you let me know if I captured 3 different buttons?

Thanks for the diagnostic.
First, for support and troubleshooting please continue here on the Homey Community forum rather than opening GitHub issues. GitHub is better suited for confirmed development issues once we have established that there is actually a bug.
I can see that your RM4 Pro currently has five RF commands stored:
rf-cmd1 through rf-cmd5
so RF commands have been captured at some point. Since your original remote only has three buttons, some of those may simply be commands captured during your repeated attempts. Each successful learning attempt creates another rf-cmdX; the app does not know whether two learned RF packets correspond to the same physical remote button.
For your WEN remote, since you already know that it operates at 433.92 MHz, I suggest using the newer manual-frequency RF learning method.
Go to the Broadlink app settings in Homey, select your RM4 Pro in the command manager, enter:
433.92
as the RF frequency and start Learn RF.
When you enter the frequency manually, the app deliberately bypasses the RF frequency sweep. Therefore you do not need to hold the remote button continuously waiting for the RM4 Pro to find the frequency.
Instead:
Keep the original remote reasonably close to the RM4 Pro, approximately 10–20 cm away.
Enter 433.92 MHz in the Broadlink app settings.
Start Learn RF.
While the capture is active, press the required remote button repeatedly with normal short presses.
Wait for the learning process to finish.
Use Refresh commands in the command manager.
Rename the newly learned rf-cmdX to something meaningful.
Repeat this separately for each of the three buttons.
Learn one physical button per learning session.
If you leave the frequency empty / use automatic learning, or start RF learning directly from the RM4 Pro device, the app uses the traditional RF frequency sweep.
Only in that mode should you:
keep the remote around 10–20 cm away;
press and hold the button continuously while the RM4 Pro searches for the carrier frequency;
wait until the frequency is detected;
then use repeated normal button presses when Homey asks you to send the actual RF command.
So there are effectively two procedures:
Known frequency, e.g. 433.92 MHz
→ frequency sweep is skipped
→ repeatedly press the button while learning.
Automatic frequency detection
→ frequency sweep runs first
→ hold the button until the frequency is detected
→ then repeatedly press it to capture the command.
For your remote I would definitely try the manual 433.92 MHz method first, because you already know its frequency and there is no benefit in trying to discover it again.
Once the commands are learned, they are primarily intended to be used from Homey Flows using the existing Broadlink send-command Flow action. The learned RF commands do not automatically become individual buttons on the RM4 Pro device screen.
Before deleting the five commands you already have, you can also try transmitting each of them from a Flow. It is possible that three of them already correspond to your three WEN buttons and the remaining two are duplicates.
If manual learning at 433.92 MHz still does not work, please perform exactly one fresh learning attempt and submit a new Diagnostic Report immediately afterwards, no need to post here - just include as many details as possible in the diagnostic log.
For a manual-frequency attempt I specifically want to see whether the log contains something equivalent to:
Manual RF learning at 433.92 MHz; skipping frequency sweep
and what happens during the subsequent RF packet capture. That will tell us much more than a diagnostic submitted later after several different learning attempts.
I understand that the Bestcon RM4C Mini cannot work with this app?
Is this correct? I have searched the forum but i cannot find much about it?
Ii it does not work, is there a other app that can communicate with RM4C Mini through Homey?
This is the device:

Based on what information? If you own the device, have you tried adding it using one of the existing driver?
