Have you unlocked your RM3 Mini in the Broadlink app ?
Yes, I just added that in the message
Do you use static IP, have you unlocked it before or after adding it into Homey ? Your Homey and Broadlink is on the same VLAN ? If no, can you assign static and re-add to Homey, if that would work? There are few users of 5F36 / Red Bean RM3 Mini edition, but havenât heard any issue for maybe a year⊠sorry, no other ideas.
This is the solution. Thanks for pointing me on it.
Turn in the Broadlink app the option âLock deviceâ off.
In Homey, you can add the Broadlink device
If its not done in this order, remove the âBroadlink deviceâ from Homey. After that, you can add it again. Then it will work. ![]()

YW!
This is no helpful info for you right now, but the Broadlink app with RM3 mini Red Bean version, works flawless on Pro 2019 and Pro 2026.

.
To me this sounds like a DHCP issue.
First of all, make sure your Broadlink device has a reserved IP address; Homey is not very good at tracking devices with a changed IP address, it seems to quit searching, or it doesnât have the tools to find paired devices with a changed IP by itself.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for adding the backup/restore functionality!!
I have 3 RM4C Mini that I use to control three identical AC units in three different rooms.
It was a hassle to get the RM4C Minis to learn the IR codes but I managed to get it set up on two of the RM4Câs. However, for some reason the third RM4C was unable to get a proper âsignalâ to learn from - no matter what and where I tried to do it.
Back in November, when I was setting up the RM4Câs, I ended up postponing this third unit, so I never got it to work - up until today.
Today I gave it another go - it still didnât want to learn properly. But then I saw the backup/restore functionality.
I then copied the JSON code from one of the working units, renamed the commands to reflect the room and pasted it into the restore section for the third RM4C Mini and saved.
Now it works flawlessly! Thanks!!
A small suggestion: Editing the JSON worked for me, but if there was some form of interface for copying commands from other identical devices, that would probably make it even more accessible.
Check static IP, firmware version and if itâs not locked in the Broadlink mobile app. Also unit reset could work
Hello,
I have a problem to make this app work.
I have a homey pro 2023, a rm pro +
Static IP on homey and broadlink, and the broadlink app on the phone is well unlocked
I integrated my remote control well into my broadlink, my TV is well controlled by my phone, I integrated the applink well on homey and do the learning of the controls by my phone, the homey created me my CMD.
But during my flows, impossible to drive my TV, I looked well at the broad light of malink, and it turns on well when sending the signal, but my TV does not react.
Could I get help?
Thank you in advance
Attached copies of screen
Try with some other device then the TV,to check if the signals are learned correctly.
I canât seem to get my new RM5 plus into learning mode in Homey. It works fine in the broadlink app.

So what was missing was unlocking the RM5 plus. I looked for the toggle in the Broadlink iOS app, but it just wasnât there.
I ended up resetting the RM5 and then configuring it to a different WIFI in the Broadlink iOS app. Then I reset it again and starting the configuration again in the Broadlink iOS app, only to intentionally not finishing it. Do not complete the adding it to a room. It will have updated the WiFi connection but still be unlocked by then.
Finally configure it as a new device in Homey.
It took a few tries and pushing the reset button in the RM5 for 5 seconds seemed to be my friend when nothing seemed to react or connect.
