FTP backup works.
When FTP as backup configured I was expecting that the configured location is displayed on selecting: choose backup file too. My iPad doesn’t give me the opportunity to select a network location.
Automatic backup configuration in the app only offers Webdav. How to select e.g. FTP? (The FTP target was saved) using app version 0.4.5?
Thanks for testing it. FTP backup itself working is good to hear.
The Choose backup file button currently uses the file picker provided by your browser/device. Backup Center does not currently browse the configured FTP/SMB2/SFTP location for restore files, so on an iPad the FTP location will not automatically appear there. Directly browsing backups stored on the configured network destination is a good suggestion, though.
Regarding Automatic backup: in v0.4.5 the automatic-backup configuration does not yet use the newer FTP/SMB2/SFTP destinations in the same way as the manual network backup. So saving an FTP target does not currently make FTP selectable there.
I’ll look at bringing these parts together so the configured network destinations can be used more consistently. Thanks for pointing this out.

I’ve identified the “Sandboxed documents aren’t allowed to show a file picker” error. The backup itself is created correctly, but the Homey settings environment blocks the file picker used by the Save button.
I’m working on a fix so saving/downloading a local backup also works correctly in this environment. Thanks for catching it!
It should be fixed now. If you find more errors or have suggestions, I’m happy to look into those.
For schedule backup, is it not better to use flow cards only?
And the save buttons are not working.
But ftp/smb/sftp is working.
But like iI said in earlier post, check the “hostverifier function to retrieve sha fingerprint in node.js”

Nothing else happens.
Nothing appears in the default download folder.

Where can I find the file now?
The „Selective restore“ section shows with me dutch text.
The saving of a backup doesn’t work or I can’t find it. Not so important as I‘ll most likely use a remote location for storing. But I would like to restore from a remote device. Presently it seems I can restore only when working on the desktop.

A bit bigger issue: I selected on my desktop a backup file, still not possible via FTP, and selective restore still says „open a Backup file“. App: 0.4.7
The „share or save“ or „download file“ doesn’t work yet. With firefox I have to right click on the „Open or save file“ URL and select download to get the backup.

Nice initiative! I saw multiple remarks in this thread about translations so I had a quick look at your source code on Github.
May I suggest you point your AI to Internationalization | Homey Apps SDK and instruct it to follow the guidelines there, it will save you a lot of work in the long run.
(Maybe even make checking the Homey SDK mandatory for any prompt you use, it will result in much better code and an app adhering to the Homey standards)
