Setting up
- In App Store Connect go to Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Team Keys and tap +. Give the key a name (for example Homey) and the role Admin (or App Manager + Sales).
- Copy the Issuer ID (shown above the list of keys) and the Key ID.
- Tap Download API Key. Apple allows this only once, so keep the
.p8file safe. - Install App Store Connect on your Homey and go to Apps → App Store Connect → Configure.
- Tap Add account, enter the Issuer ID and Key ID, paste the full contents of the
.p8file and add your vendor number (App Store Connect → Business, the 8-digit number next to your address). - Tap Test & save. Your apps are found within seconds.
- Go to Add Device → App Store Connect and add your apps and the All apps device.
- Optional: add the widgets to your dashboard and set how often the status is checked (default every 15 minutes).
Apple publishes the download figures of yesterday once a day, so new figures appear in Homey the next morning. App Review status, builds and reviews are checked continuously.
Your .p8 key gives access to your App Store Connect account. Never share it with anyone. If you think it has leaked, revoke the key in App Store Connect and add a new one.
Tip: The settings page (Apps → App Store Connect → Configure) contains a step-by-step guide and shows whether each account is working. You can use the same API key in DevTools.
