Thanks, it appears to me that the API is generating false caution states - going through the history on Home Assistant, I can see that several, but not all indoor devices (I have a 4x multi-split AC) report a caution state occasionally, while the error code is always there set to the last value encountered. However, caution states are only ever reported for devices that are currently off. And these states never appear in the Onecta Android app as warnings. Maybe you could allow for the minimum level to be set to generate a notification? Yesterday I got flooded with notifications⌠today there hasnât been a single one. Which also means this must be an error in the system somewhere, since the AC wouldnât be low on coolant one day and then no longer the next dayâŚ

Version 5.0.8 in test and under certification by Athom for live.
This version has the fix for the flowtrigger âturns ONâ and i have disable the Caution state notification. Only Errors and Warnings should nog be notify in the timelime.
If you canât wait for the Live version you can install the testversion thru https://homey.app/a/climate.onecta.daikin/test/
I installed the test app and will monitor if my flows work correct now.
It works now. You only have to replace the turns on card. So check your flows.
Updated my air to air pump to the new driver. Works fine as a device, but can no longer add it to the dashboard
@Emile @Harwin. Could you please add the airconditioning class as an option for the climate widget?
@Mickel_Luiten I have a few questions about the new update/device driver.
I donât quite understand why you use the aircondotioning class for heatpumps. First of all, there is a heatpump class, so if you had to switch to another class, why not use the corrrect one?
Second of all, it functions, in my opinion, poorly in that it is not recognized properly by homey as a controllable thermostat.
It is not possible to use a device with this class on the dashboard using the climate widget.
Also, the current temperature, is not visible on the main device page.
I appreciate the work you do with this app. I just wanted to express that I feel that it was better before these changes.
First of all, thank you on the work developping this app.
Iâm currently using v5.0.8 on my Homey to control the airco units. In the app prior to this one (with the old driver) I could set the temperature with 0.5 degree steps. It looks like the new driver does not support this.
If running a flow to set the correct temperature (with âset the target temperature for operation mode heating to 13.5â) of the airco units it seems to refuce if set to 13.5 Celcius. It sets the unit to 14.0 Celcius instead. Can this be checked (and fixed)?
HI , and thank youâŚThis is " as is" due to the nature of current coding its roundâs up to a whole number. But maybe i can change itâŚneed to investigate this.
I have a couple Daikin units at home and migrated them to the new driver. Iâm also testing the new energy tab in the Homey app and even though the units are not used they do appear consistently as the top consumers.
I think there is a problem with the energy consumption as measured.
It looks like they have a fixed 100Wh a day every day. Note that the units are not used.
Iâm sure where is data is being pulled from but it is definitely wrong.
Energy data is correct.
Please check it in the Daikin ONECTA app(android/iphone)
Even if the units are not used they have a daily usages of 100wh also in de ONECTA app
The energy data from the units comes directly from the Daikin cloud and itâs just a sum of totaal consumption.
The new and still in bèta homey energy tab calculate by it self the daily usages of a device.
From the homey SDK documentation:
Note: the meter_power
capability must always be positive and ever-increasing (cumulative). Homey Energy calculates energy usage over a given period by analyzing the difference in this value over time. If meter_power
capability values are periodically reset to zero or decrease unexpectedly, it may lead to data loss.
Hello,
I get below error. After removing the app and reinstalling plus adding new devices through air to the air heat pump driver there are no new devices available. How can I fix this? Thank you!
Error: you are using deprecated driver for your daikin device. Please upgrade to universal air_2_air heatpump driver
Please read this topic this question is already been answered!
Thanks for a great integration! But I unfortunately also have the same issues after the new upgrade. My biggest gripe is that the heat pump no longer shows up as a thermostat in Tibber (Tibber is controlling the heat pump with regards to the energy price). Probably because Tibber looks for controllable thermostats.
@Torbjorn_Melbye , @SachaH , @jervi ,
Just uploaded version 5.1.0 to test branch. Daikin ONECTA | Homey
This version i reverted the use of some custom capabilties to default Athoms capabilities
This should fixes some issues:
- Homey Dashboard en Quik Climate button; the unit is back as thermostat for the temperature(class airconditioning)
- The room/indoor temperature is back on the thermostat dial instead on the sensor page,
- Temperature can be set with 0.5 Celcius again.
- Tibber or other 3th party app that uses the default capabiltys shoud work again
Be aware if you install this test-version some flows will be broken!
Thanks a lot! It works great for me
Since my air2air devices have stopped working, I deleted them, installed the last version (and the test app) of the app and tried to add the devices anew. However the app doesnât find any device.
What am I missing ? (and to be honest, I am rather fed up to have an app that changes every other day forcing me to revisit all my flows and delete/add my devices without any notice)
After updating to the test version, the 0.5 Celcius steps are working again.
Thank you for the effort and fast response.
Nothing changes in adding devices so apperently you do something wrong.
In previous posts some users has 2 daikin accounts where only 1 are bounded to the units.
These users entered the wrong account.
Best way is to add the devices in the webapp , but before you do that clear your browser cookies and history because then you getting the daikin authetication and you can fill in the correct account.
But why are you delete devices? First of all restart the daikin app in homey and if you still getting a unautorized message or other simple repair the daikin devices in homey. No need to delete them. The somethings appering unoauthorized message is something i can not solve.
Apperently Daikin somthing revokes the keys and a new autorization is needed.
Hi, and thanks for a great app. Is it possible to get energy monitoring from Altherma 3?
Work in progress, wait for the 6.x.x release
