Still the same.
It sees new devices for about 10 seconds, although they don’t appear, then it says no new devices
I’m afraid to say I don’t know. There are no clues for me to even guess.
If you can send me the email address you used for the SwitchBot account via a pm, I will pass it on to my contact to see if they can see anything their end.
All right will do - thanks
Did you try deleting the app and downloading the test app again SwitchBot | Homey
Yes No luck
@Adrian_Rockall I managed to get it working again.
I reset everything and all of a sudden the appeared in Homey - so no need to do more for me
The only issue is my old g-mail account that I deleted. I can’t seem to reactivate it, but that’s on swithcbot
Hello.
Found a little typo in the then card for manually added remote’s.
In stead of command, it is written commnad.
Thanks for reporting it. It’s my dyslexia striking again.
BLE driver
Good evening,
I have been having problems since switching from my Homey pro '16 to a homey pro '23 with my curtain bots.
In homey I am not getting status updates from my bots. When restarting my homey, the values are updated correctly. If the bots then open or close again, the values do not change.
The bots are connected to my homey via a mini hub. Manually opening and closing via homey, the bots are working properly.
I have already tried all sorts of things. Fix the bots, re-enter login credentials, re-add bots to the hub.
Does anyone have an idea where the problem lies? The bots were working properly on my old homey.
I created a diagnostic report.
SwitchBot version:
Homey Pro: 12.1.0
Thank you kindly in advance.
Regards,
Rp
Hi @Adrian_Rockall, I have found that using scenes on Switchbot Hub mini is the only reliable method of moving my original Curtains. When I use BLE, I get a lot of timeouts. When I use the hub, I sometimes get “device not found” (and without changing anything it will work next time round). So my flows to move curtains became quite involved with lots of fallback scenarios in case it didn’t work first time around. Usually the fallback method worked but not always.
Then I made scenes on Switchbot Hub Mini and now I just call the scene and it just works every time. I never have any issues using the Switchbot app on my phone, so it’s not a range thing (also the Switchbot hub is really close to the curtains). I don’t seem to have the same issues with my recently acquired Blind Tilt so is there maybe an issue with compatibility with the original Curtains? Anybody else experience the same?
Also, since all curtain and blind devices have a light sensor built in, is there any chance of exposing that so we can use it in flows?
The light level is available via BLE for curtains but it’s not provided by the cloud API.
Could you send the information log from the app settings page when you get the device not found error.
@Adrian_Rockall hi!
I have the same problem as Rick Patje as described above. When a curtain opens/closes the position of the curtain is no longer displayed. After closing the curtain, I get the value below:
After restarting the app, automatically after 5 min, sometimes the value is updated. Often they don’t. As a result, the correct statuses of the curtains are no longer properly transmitted to Homey.
The curtains are connected to Homey through a mini hub. The app and fw Homey are the latest version.
I made a report in the app:
37071615-a640-486a-8184-d6775df992c7
Could you check what t problem is?
I will try to track down the log, but they go to SwitchBot.
The status should be updated via a webhook, so maybe that is having problems for some reason.
If you have a Homey Pro can you open the app settings page and select the Log tab, then set the drop list to webhook info.
Next operate the curtains and then check the log.
@Adrian_Rockall, don’t want to bother you, but can you please answer to this question?
I looks like everything is oke in the webhook log.
I saw nothing special. It looks like the curtain gets the updates trough webhooks. Maby a Homey problem?
So, did Homey update the capability when you were getting the webhook data?
I need to investigate what’s available via the API.
I did some testing.
It is now about 1 hour ago that I restarted the Switchbot app. After operating my curtain3 bots, I recieve webhooks. The capabilty is updating and updated to the right value.
Operating the curtain2 (1st gen?) bots, i dont recieve webhooks. The capability doesn’t update and shows ‘-‘ all the time.
Do you need some logs?
Edit: I can operate the bots open/close (up/down) in Homey. The slider doesnt update.
According to the API there are only two speeds available:
