I’ve been working on an SDK v3 port of the original Marantz app, with the aim of bringing it to newer Homey platforms while preserving its existing functionality and Flow cards.
The port is now installed and tested on Homey Self-Hosted Server 13.4.1 running on a Raspberry Pi 5, with a Marantz NR1606.
Successful tests include pairing, power on/standby, volume and mute control, input selection, the input condition Flow card, custom commands, and reconnection after restarting the app.
It targets newer Homey platforms, including recent Homey Pro models, but I haven’t tested it on a physical Homey Pro yet. Zone 2 and longer-term stability also still need testing.
My goal is to contribute this work to the existing Marantz app and help bring an updated version to the Homey App Store.
Is the app still available for transfer, or would you prefer a pull request to the original repository? I’d be happy to share the code and test results.
Thanks for creating the original app — it worked really well with my NR1606 on Homey Pro 2019 for years and since I upgraded to SHS, i desperated to see my marantz works in Homey!

No problem about testing — I’ve already tested the SDK v3 port on my NR1606 with Homey Self-Hosted Server running on a Raspberry Pi 5, and the main controls are working.
I’ve shared the code and installation instructions here so other users can try it:
Tests on recent physical Homey Pro models and other Marantz receivers would still be very welcome.
My goal is to help bring this update to the existing Marantz app in the Homey App Store, while preserving the original authors’ credits. @Marco_van_den_hout Is transferring the app still an option?

Hi, I’m still happy to transfer the app. I can’t currently test or review the code, but I don’t think it’s very useful in its current state anyway. I’d prefer completely handing over control over accepting a pull request, but maybe Homey maintainers can help with that?

Thank you! A complete handover works for me. I’m happy to take responsibility for maintenance, testing and future updates, while preserving your credits and the original license.
The main goal is to take over the existing Homey App Store listing so current users can benefit from the update.
