Omlet Smart is the new name for the Omlet Autodoor app. I’ve added the Smart feeder and expanded the Autodoor settings and Flow cards. Existing Autodoor devices and Flows keep working after the update.
The new features are available in the test version.
- Autodoor: Open, close, or toggle the door, control a connected coop light, and check battery level and problems. You can also set opening and closing modes, times, light thresholds, and delays.
- Smart feeder: Check feed and battery levels, get a low-feed alarm, and open or close the feed doors from Homey or Flows. Light/Time mode, light thresholds, and opening and closing times are available in the device settings.
The Smart feeder normally connects once an hour. Readings can be around an hour old, and commands and settings changes are applied when it next connects. Battery-powered Autodoors can also take longer to respond; use the Omlet power adapter for quicker control.
Set up your devices over Wi-Fi in the Omlet app first, then add them in Homey. Pairing explains how to create an Omlet API key. The app needs Homey v12.4.0 or newer and an internet connection.
For faster Autodoor status updates, you can optionally enable Faster Updates (Webhooks) in the app settings. Polling continues to work without it.
