Welcome! This is the support and feedback topic for Sector Alarm with Sensors, an independent community app for Homey Pro.
Install the test version · Current test release: 0.6.2
This app is currently in testing and has not been certified by Athom. It uses an unofficial Sector Alarm cloud API and is not endorsed by Sector Alarm. This topic is for app ID se.eppen2.sectorsensors. For the separate com.edling.sectoralarm app, please use its existing topic.
What can it do?
- Add supported sensors as individual Homey devices, grouped by physical device so multiple readings stay together.
- Read door/window status and available temperature, humidity and low-battery warnings.
- Read alarm mode: disarmed, perimeter or fully armed.
- Show a per-installation overview of open/unknown contacts, connectivity and devices needing attention.
- Request a still image from a supported camera when the alarm is online and fully armed.
- Use available readings and the app’s overview, connectivity and camera Flow cards in automations.
Availability depends on your alarm generation, country and what the Sector Alarm API returns. Not every device has every reading. Camera devices are not a guaranteed source of live motion events. Battery status is a low-battery warning, not an estimated percentage.
Install and get started
- Use Homey Pro with Homey software 12.0.0 or newer and your own Sector Alarm account.
- Open the test link above and install the app on your Homey.
- In Homey, choose Devices → + → Sector Alarm with Sensors, then select the appropriate category.
- Sign in to Sector Alarm and add one device first. Compare its values with the Sector Alarm app before adding more.
- Add Alarm systems for the installation’s alarm status and overview; keypads represent the physical keypad devices.
Your credentials are saved in the app’s settings on Homey for automatic updates. The app removes them when the last device for that account is deleted. Authentication tokens and the app’s camera image cache are held in memory. Homey features and Flows may separately share or retain images if you configure them to do so.
Important behaviour and common questions
Can it arm/disarm the alarm or control locks? No. Alarm mode is read-only. The only camera action is an explicit still-image request.
Why is an update delayed or unknown? Values come from Sector Alarm’s cloud and are not guaranteed to be real time. Normal polling is around once a minute and slows after failures or rate limits. Missing, offline or stale values must not be treated as confirmed safe/closed states. This integration does not replace the alarm service.
Why does a camera picture take time? The alarm must be confirmed online and fully armed. Allow up to three minutes for a compatible camera to return a picture. Opening the device serves the cached image and does not request a new one. Check the displayed image time/age. Pictures are cleared from the app’s memory after restart. Check the camera and alarm status before trying another request.
What if login stops working? Use the Homey device’s Repair option to check the account details. Avoid repeatedly removing and re-adding devices, as that can affect existing Flows.

Never post passwords, authentication tokens, alarm PINs, serial numbers, installation IDs, home addresses, unedited logs/API responses or private camera pictures. If a screenshot helps, crop/redact personal information first. Credentials are never needed in a public support report.
Feature requests and compatibility reports are welcome here too. For a feature request, describe what you want to automate; for compatibility, tell us the country, hardware generation and which readings work, without sharing account or installation identifiers.
