For several years I’ve been using Voice Monkey to:
- Run Alexa routines and make Alexa announcements from Homey Flows (using a http request)
- Run Homey flows from Alexa routines
For that time it has been completely reliable. I could use it for free but I decided to pay for it to help make sure it continues.
Voice Monkey has just announced a redeveloped version 3. It includes several improvements. The most obvious is it no longer creates a virtual doorbell for each Alexa request. That was a bit of a faff. Instead, it now creates a single device. Each trigger is an attribute of that device - which makes the interface much cleaner.
