I don’t know if you could fix that, but the correct sentence is
“Heute ist Freitag, der 17. Mai 2019” (without “von”)

I had the same issue. It’s the OpenWeatherMap app. It gives some weird information for sunrise/sunset. I removed it and it’s back to normal. I already have the weather app installed.
Love the layout of your version. Only thing I’d change is the fontsize of the device information like temperature. it’s a bit small. Just my 2 cents
