I have found a way to make this work. I have Homebridge running Apple TV Enhanced as a plug-in and thus exposed in HomeKit. After that I have used HomeKitty to create switches. These switches I have used in a Flow to have my desired scenes set up. Then I went back to Homekit to create automations/scenes. Apple TV Enhanced is used as a trigger and from there I triggered the HomeKitty flows with the desired scenes.
I hope this is somewhat clear, if not feel free to let me know.
Maybe I can share my Flows if this is interesting to get the mind set going.

Sorry, saw only the first post, but!!! Wooowwwww, i installed it and it worked from test 1, AppleTV pause, the lights are changing to a brighter scene, play, and dims back, thank youuuu soooo much!!! This is what i was looking for all this time, dont know how you did it but its amazing amazing amazing!

Ah what a nice to have addition @BasMilius I was always fiddling around with various outside things to try and get paused/stopped/restarted state from Apple TV to act up-on. Or of course the other way around pause it if something specific is happening. Very much appreciated
So far everything seems to work amazing! The only thing, in my opinion, that would be great (but not sure this is possible) if your forwarding or skipping some content it doesnt mark the apple tv as stopped playing. So if i skip forward or backward in a movie for example, it instantly turns the light brighter. Is it possible to do that?
