This is sick. Do you plan on making a “TV Power State“ condition card? One of the things pyatv was able to surface from MRP was tv power state. Their cli tool “atvremote“ even has a listener mode that uses a web socket api for subscribing to power events and populating the terminal when it changes. Not sure how much coverage you were able to get with their implementation but if possible that state condition would be a dope addition. It would enable things like “only turn on grow lights in living room if living tv state is OFF“

We can already do this! Your Apple TV has the standard on/off capability, so you can use Homey’s built-in condition card = ‘Is turned on’ or = ‘Is turned off’ in your flows. Just add an AND condition, select your Apple TV, and choose the power state condition.”
Btw, I’ve released a new version that fixes some crashes and cleaned up a bit. Flows needs testing so please test them and report if you find any oddities.

Perfect idea ! Apple TV connected without any problems.
I will be Starting Unifi protect on my Apple TV when doorbell rings to show the camera.
Will be extending some conditions in my flows in the coming days.

Can you confirm that Homey Cloud is unfortunately not compatible with your fantastic app?
From my understanding you need to be a “certified/verified” developer by Athom (I think only companies can…) in order to be allowed to publish apps to the cloud!

Would love to test the app!
Set up a bunch of HomePod minis and an Apple TV. All the flows and status changes etc I’ve tested are working fine. Also metadata for album, track etc when playing music. But I don’t get any album art at all, whether airplaying to the speakers or playing something natively on them.
Happy to create diagnostic or try things that would help work out what the issue is if that’s useful.
Simple flow works like a charm.
Would love to have info of the APP status.
if the Protect App was running in the background I don’t need to login.
If it is not running I need to log in first. This can be done by sending commands to the Apple TV by flow cards. This works like a charm.
But if the app was already running there is no need to send the commands. In this case sending the commands clicks several times and logs me out

I just wanted to update you on the current situation…
My app won’t be accepted as an approved app on Homey app-store.
The reason for this is that Athom thinks that we should only have 1 app per brand,
and unfortunately there was an app submitted before mine (a couple of days ago).
This means that this app will probably stay in test phase (i.e. not be available publicly as a community app), and you are of course welcome to keep using it and I will for now continue to improve it.
However I feel a bit sad due to the efforts I put into making this app and the extra stuff I added.
I will keep you posted! A new version is available if you want to test it out
