[APP][Pro] Todoist - The to do list to organize work & life

Hi!

Me and my wife absolutley love this app!
But is there any way to be able to assign a user to a specific task aswell?
Like "Create a task in ā€œprojectā€ and ā€œdueā€ for ā€œassigneeā€ ?

And if there was a way to be able to assign a section for the task would be wonderfull aswell  Because when u are using the board layout, everything falls into a (No section) labeled section.

I just tried pairing, and it works fine for me. Do you have any more information? Is there an error or something when you open the device?

Hi Jeroen,

Anita

Hi Jero,

I just installed your app and I’m testing with it.

I am looking for a way to receive a to do list for the day via Homey. E.g. start a flow each day that fetches the tasks which are planned for today. But the date that todoist returns has the value: 28 apr. So it won’t match the date of Homey. Is there a way around this? Can’t quite figure it out myself

Hi there, I love homey todist app, but is it possible to add a priority such as P1 to a newly created task.

Mark

Hi @Jero, thanks for building this app! I recently discovered Todoist and I love it.

I’ve created a pull request for your app that adds an optional field to all task action cards to set an assignee for the task. It lets me automate the creation of a task for putting out the trash (and assign it to my wife ).

Hope you’d like to merge it and release it in a new version of your app.

While we’re at it, I’ve also created a pull request that allows searching for/completing tasks within the scope of a given project. This change adds the project field as an optional field to the ā€œtask existsā€ condition card and ā€œfinish tasksā€ action card.

This change is debatable as you could already express this with the filter (#[project-name]) but this makes it more convenient and reliable as it does a name lookup by project id (thus surviving project renames).

Again, hope you appreciate the PR and are able to encorporate it in a new release.

And the last one for today, I’ve also created a pull request that allows you to set a priority on any of the action cards that allow the creation of a new task:

All changes combined, the action cards would look like this:

Hope you appreciate all the pull requests.

Sorry for the flood of messages!

Great work, very nice additions there is just one more PR left with some conflicts. If those are fixed I can release your additions.

I noticed you merged and released all 3 now. Thank you very much!

I’ve created a draft PR that introduces a tasks widget. It allows ticking off Todoist tasks via the widget. It automatically refreshes with live updates so if you or anyone else adds a task via Todoist, it will appear on the widget immediately. It also supports an optional read-only mode and auto-resizing based on the number of tasks.

Dear All,

Working with HP2023, since few days my flow with Todoist are brocken.

When I try to fix it I have this message :

This endpoint is deprecated. If you’re reading this on a browser, there’s a good chance you can change the v8 part on the URL to v1 and get away with it. If you’re using the API directly, please update your use case to rely on the new API endpoints, available under /api/v1/ prefixes. For more details, please see documentation at https://developer.todoist.com/

Thanks in Advance

JMEJ

That’s something the developer should fix. You should ask that in the app topic.

Thanks @smarthomesven ,

As soon as I created it, I deleted my post in the other topic thinking it was in the bad place. Following your advice, I just send an email to de developper. I Will keep this topic uptodated with its answer.

Looking into it @Erikvl87 has already made a fix I will see that I will release it asap.

A new version has been published on the app store that should fix the issues. Again a great thanks to @Erikvl87

Because I dont use Todoist anymore and @Erikvl87 is doing alot of good maintenance and adding new features we discussed that Erik @Erikvl87 will be taking over the app.

Thanks @Jero for all the work you’ve put into this app over the years! I’m happy to take over and keep it going.

Having said that, I’m excited to share that new test version 2.0.0 is now available!

Here’s what’s new:

  • Added a project dashboard widget

:warning: Important: This is a breaking change!
Due to the app ownership transfer, you will need to repair your Homey Todoist device(s). See Troubleshooting | Todoist.

You can install the test version here:
https://homey.app/a/nl.jwienk.todoist/test/

I’ve also created a documentation website for the app:

I’d love to hear your feedback on the new version!

@Jero Thanks for what your did.
@Erikvl87 Thanks for what you are going to do.

I delete the old app, cancel links with homey in the Todoist webapp and install new beta Homey todoist app.

Unfortunately I have same issue than before.

Thnks in advance
