[APP][Pro] Spacey Plan

Installed new spacey plan. Added a floor and can not add any device. Hanging at „start to type …“.
Am using an iPad, running a Homey pro 2023 with FW 12.4.0 and homey app version 9.2.0.1968.
The withdrawn spacey app was working.
Tried it using Android. Same: got stuck at start typing to search. No keyboard pops up.

Hmmm, it seems to be an app store wide issue for me! Didn’t occur to me earlier to test by installing some random other apps. Solly fol zat :face_with_peeking_eye:

I cant really do anything until everything is up here. I tried it on my iphone and everything worked perfect so its har to say what you guys having for issue. But we can continue on when first version is up on app store.

It is. More people, including me, reported the issue on facebook. All android and windows. No app install posible.

Works like a charm here on latest IOS iPhone 15 pro. Running system 12.3.3 though as I have experienced challenges with Matter hubs (IKEA and Aqara) after upgrades so I do planned updates. 9.2.0 build 1698 of IOS app.

Actually it is snappier than ever! Great work! Immediate control of lights! Loving it more!

Brilliant application, works very well. Unfortunately the biggest problem is the columns, and the lack of possibility to insert larger graphics. On a smartphone it still looks ok but on a tablet it is poor.

Poor is harch words :). Its better than nothing I would say. Since this is limitations of Homeys design there is not much we can do.

However we have already had some cleaver people working around. You can divide rooms. In your case say that you will Twist your image 90 degrees then break it up in 2 or 3 parts. So one for the big room in horisontal then the other two rooms in another column. So then on a Tablet you can fit quite large space.

I understand that this limitation was imposed by Homey and their columns. I think it is one of the best applications available on the dashboard. I will definitely try something

Amazing app, really quite a lot of potential already with this - kudos @Ludvig !

One thing though; I seem to loose quite a lot of image quality when uploading. Ive tried both PNG/JPEG, without any improvement. Any clues/tips for how to improve this?

Example:

Yes sadly i know about it. Are you uplpadong via phone/tablet or computer?

I tried both with the same results, unfortunately

Bummer. Dunno if your tech guy but we do today is that we actually translate the image to a base64 and store in as json. This since, what I know of, its harder to allow real upload of images to Homey. The size of this is limited and hence we do some scale down. I have tried to find where this limit it is but there are so many factors. There are probably a lot more I can do here but right now this has been the easiest solution. So to make it better you can first of scale down the image your self. Roughly max is 500x800 (w x h) and set the quality as low as you can on your side. Then try to see if it works if it can skip scaling. But otherwise it will be a work in progress for the future. Right now its a bit on/off either we don’t scale or we do. One way would be to try to scale down a little, if it fails, a bit more, etc. We could also allow for just URL to image so its loaded as you go.

So definitely more work to be done.

I used just PNG format and with rebate text even, so I think it is very good. Make the image high and not wide I guess yields the best result. Used free Floorplan for design and then MacOs Preview to make inverted image and added text. Original is of much higher resolution of course.

This looks like a success right?

Super app! Very to the point on needs for many users. Some small tweaking with placement etc, but that is Homey and not the app.
