Already complained to Hyundai once - I’ll probably go Tesla next time mainly because of this.
@Gruijter, Version 2.0 was working fine for me. 10-08-2026 Homey updated the app to version 2.0 and it automatically connected to my car and all the information was coming into Homey.
Sinds 15-08-2026 I get an error in the App:
When I try to reconnect after entering my username, password and pin, I get the same error. The diagnostic report code is: a03e07b7-d1ec-4356-9ab7-0256d1d9d309
I hope you can fix the issue, so the app will work again.
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
I’m unable to pair my Kia Ceed PHEV 2020 (Europe) with the new Kia app v2.0.0.
During pairing I always get:
“Authentication failed — returned to login page. Check username and password.”
I have double-checked the credentials and 4-digit PIN. The same Kia account works normally in the official Kia Connect iOS app.
My setup:
- Kia Ceed PHEV 2020
- Region: Europe
- Kia app: 2.0.0
- Homey: Early 2019
- Homey firmware: 13.2.4
I have also submitted a diagnostics report:
Diagnostics ID: 2f0958d7-cd48-4e1f-bc1b-79ff50b47f43
Could you please check whether this is an EU authentication issue or possibly related to using an Early 2019 Homey?
Thanks!
For anybody unable to read a few posts up in this thread: [APP][Pro][Official] Kia and Hyundai - #998 by RM_de_Gruijter
Info:
The Home Assistant integration hasn’t been working for the last two days either. There was an update to the integration today. It’s been working again ever since.
Anyone who, like me, also uses Home Assistant can transfer the data to Homey using the Homey Home Assistant Community app. This can serve as a workaround for the time being.
Please be patient; Gruijter will sort out the problem.
New version 2.1.0 of both apps was just released.
- Fix for new API blocks
The community has worked hard to again reverse angineer the new API changes. It was implemented this morning for Python, and I just finished porting and testing it to Homey NodeJS.
All should work again (until the next time Hyundai/Kia decide to frustrate HA and Homey users ;))
Amazing, it works, you guys are the greatest, thank you!
Where can I buy you a cup of coffee or maybe a beer or two?
You can at PayPal.me/gruijter
But Athom is already sponsoring this app in full!
This is amazing work, thank you so much! ![]()
Absolutely amazing.
Many thanks for your kind donation @Mark_Stevens ! ![]()

Potentially. Not on the todo list at the moment. First priority is keeping the app working before adding new features.
Amazing work! Thank you so much! Enjoy your ![]()
@osiiris many Thx for your donation. Much appreciated! ![]()

But this is an official app, right? In that case, maybe @Doekse has a contact at Kia and/or Hyundai who can give an official API, since official apps are always built in collaboration with the brands.
Official, as in, support by us at Athom to bring it to Homey Cloud.
Yes, we do have contacts at KIA/Hyundai but that conversation has been going on for more than a year at this stage.
@HaaBo many Thx also for your donation! ![]()

Although donations are really making me feel appreciated (happy happy, joy joy
), there is no need to do that for the Hyundai and Kia apps. Athom is the big sponsor to keep the app working for everyone.
