[APP][Pro][Official] Kia and Hyundai

Swedish Hyundai Ioniq 5 works .

Swedish EV6 MY22 works :+1:

Norway, Ioniq 2020 works.

Thanks for this, been missing that car icon! :flexed_biceps:t2:

Since I did not receive any issues from the test group I will release both apps as stable.

I however haven’t reveived any feedback from non-EU users. So for non-EU users: please provide feedback on the fully rewritten apps!

All went well, up to today. I lost connection to the car. Restarting the app did not work.

Please send an app diagnostics report

Above the key. But sorry, I just found out the Kia app on iOS does not work either.

So I guess something is wrong at the Kia servers.

I should have checked this first, sorry again.

I lost the connection with the kia today too.

dto in Germany

Kia problem. Home Assistant won’t connect either.
Kia/Hyundai has the most unreliable API of all car manufacturers!

The Home Assistant integration is working again. Homey, unfortunately, is not.

Also for HA it only sometimes works for some users. I am following the issue tracker here: Authentication expired - can't login again · Issue #1840 · Hyundai-Kia-Connect/kia_uvo · GitHub

Nothing I can do at the moment but wait until either Kia reverts what they did on their servers, or when the reverse engineering communtity creates a new workaround that I can implement in Homey.

Dutch login Hyundai too:

There are issues with the Kia app on iOS again. So the Kia servers are probably the cause of all issues.

Yep see forum

2.0 seems to work great for me (2022 Hyundai Kona)! Thank you very much for creating and maintaining this app! I haven’t used any versions before 2.0 so I can’t give any valuable comparisons.

I noticed a small bug on the date/time stamp of the last refresh status. When refreshing between 00:00 and 02:00 the date still shows the previous day. E.g. when I updated last night at 00:30, the date showed Aug 11 instead of 12. I’m on UTC+2 so it’s probably a simple UTC conversion issue.

Before this app I never took notice of the 12V battery status. What are normal discharge rates for a car not in use and not charging? I went from 82% to 73% in 48h with only 3 manual refreshes via the app (none done via flows).

I’m failing on logging in with all correct details.

Everyone’s experiencing the same thing at the moment. Kia/Hyundai are tinkering with their API again.

This is and definitely was my first and last Kia.

The Home Assistant integration hasn’t been working since yesterday either. I can understand why people are annoyed, but the problem isn’t down to Homey or the app.
If it’s getting on your nerves, let Kia/Hyundai know straight away. This whole thing is getting on my nerves and my next car won’t be a Kia either.
